  1. I was looking at a roached out sedan a few days ago, no engine, front end suspension, bootlid or bonnet. Rust in rear 1/4s and over the windscreen. Interior in equally poor nick. It went for about $750. That's what the seller told me anyway. You're a long way from anywhere, that's the kicker, also the bonus given the lack of moisture out there. I'd be keen on knowing a price and picking it up, coming from Orange NSW if you can get a reasonable price sorted. I'm sure you'd be inundated with messages soon.
  2. its not an R31 to begin with... its the Tomica DR30 Racing Silhouette Skyline - if you cant find any info on it, you're not doing really good... http://speedhunters.com/archive/2008/11/27...tte-racers.aspx
  3. Gee, that engine bay looks familiar... Thanks for the comments guys Currently worse for wear after some Victorian dickhead in a rental chucked a U turn infront of me... 3 weeks later and the assesor from the Rental company is only just looking at the car today, and not in person I might add. I have offers on the car as it sits, and if I get a settlement payout, the car is going, and I'm keeping the cash. As said by many others, its a turbo setup, sticking a pod on the end of that section of piping will do more harm than good, again check out R31 SC for all the details about doing that. I know plenty of people who run with the lid off the airbox, works well on the turbo too - Great flutter... or have a pod in place of the stock airbox. Personally, the stock airbox is quite ok.
  4. Pics? I'm in need of a S3 Ti Bonnet.
  5. Just picked up a set of standard Ti rims, they'll cop a polish and be ready if anyone wants the car for cheaper without the SSR's
  6. any of this stuff still available? pics and offsets of the ROH's if still about... cheers.
  7. a couple of 33's in Bathurst today, Gunmetal with a big FMIC and black one, perhaps GTR...? was in the back-streets towards the mountain, 1 crossing Bentik and one turning onto William St jeez, been a while since I posted in here
  8. yes well, pity you cant see the value in the auto. not that much effort to convert a 31 to manual; if you're interested please post. otherwise STFU.
  9. 6 months rego added as of the 18th, now Rego'd in NSW until June 18th $8200 ono - Less without SSR's.
  10. 7200 without rims & with rego due in decemember 8000 with rego due on december
  11. bump it up.... few recent shots from a Show and Shine in Dubbo:
  12. going to try to be there, if I fax an entry form, can I pay on the day? will be in sydney that weekend on family duties, just depnds on which day the duty calls...
  13. I was done a few months back (may) for 142 in a 100 zone, a mate and I were headed back down the Pacific highway north of Kempsey and witnessed a car go into the trees on the median strip, I turned around where I could (mate is a senior officer in RFS) and hoofed it back up the road while calling the RTA accident report line... didnt know the seriousness of it at the time so didnt go with 000. over a crest, cop on the side of the road, 'FUUUUUUUUUUUU...' he pulled me up, first thing he said is "ive got you on LIDAR video mate, you were doing 146kph" which I thought was odd, coz I was only in my R31... 145kph is a fair speed in the old girl (although I found out at Oran this weekend that 165 is acheiveable down the straight) He didnt ask why I was speeding, when I told him there was an accident up ahead and we had turned around to assist he said "there is no accident, i was up that way 10 mins ago" he handed me the fine and then came back to say there was an accident... it was just called in.. long story short, Its gone to local court up in Macksville 2 times now, first was adjourned because I applied to have the hearing moved so I could attend it locally, its a 1500km one way trip for me to go up there...but that was denied. So it was heard again, I contacted a local solicitor and he helped me draft a stat dec, and my passenger also provided one... I recently got a letter stating that it was going to be investigated by the police prosecutor in order to " verify the veracity of 'the incident'... " (veracity = truthfullness) so its being heard again in early november for sentencing. I face, from what I've gathered, 3 months and a $680 fine... which is weird compared to the story above... I'd say 'my' cop doesnt have as much proof as he would like... I just hope I keep my licence and have the charges thrown out, I've only ever had 1 other speeding fine (I'm 26) and one minor traffic infringment. (no points, $75 fine) I'll put it this way, its the last time i'll be helping out at an accident scene, which is horrible to think, but why risk being punished for trying to help someone in need. Which is an offence in itself Strange that they got you for 142 as well... Good luck with it, but I cant see it being overthrown...
  14. Drop to $8500 ono and I'll pink slip it for you. Deposit on the new car... would like to see it go.

They were pulled down, bead blasted, powder coated, clear coated and put back together with new nuts and bolts before going on. Roadworthy Certificate: Has Certified Engineers Report, Has been Engineered Victoria but it lapsed. I put it back through engineers, Blue slip and rego in NSW the engineers cert should cover all states. Might be a different story for your local state laws for RWC or whatever. Registered: Yes - 18 December 09 Will provide Pink-Slip in NSW if you purchase Accident History: Love tap to the rear a few years ago, all repairs are excellent and covered via Shannons. There are a few 'carpark' battle scars. Asking Price: $9500 neg - I'm just about to put a deposit on a replacement car... you might be surprised. Location: Orange NSW Contact Details: Please PM or Email brinnjackett[at]gmail.com Other Comments: I am the third owner. Majority of the modifications have been done sensibly and with no expense spared by Carolyn Kruger (Avid R31 Enthusiast). Car is capable of a tidy 13.6 second quarter, and being auto, works extremely well with the turbo conversion. Can be a little nasty to drive in the wet, due to the auto and the LSD. Clarion HU with Hard Disk Drive recording + 4 kenwood speakers . I'm selling because Its time to be sensible, the mrs is scared of driving the R31 after putting the Silhoutte GTS sideways into a pole, and I dont expect her to drive the GTS around all the time, I dont want her to either. I am happy to sell interstate, I will not organise it for you.
  16. my GTS1 My S3 Ti My old Pinny (20det) my old GXE Mates old Silo
  17. Yes. You need Bonnet, Lights, Grill, Filler, Bar, Reo & the latch system from the S3. Its all bolt in. you may need to bend/chop the S2 front guard a little as they tend to hang a bit below the S3 bumper. http://wiki.r31skylineclub.com/index.php?t...rear_conversion
  18. The IRS in the HR31 isnt much to write home about, very squatty and hard to get right for sliding, Easto was / is running an R33 rear cradle, but that takes a shitload of money and mods to do correctly, Decs has put one into an aus-spec & says he'll never do it again coming from a mechanical side of things. Aus rear axle is reliable chuck in a spool, lock it up or even a KAAZ and away you go. Finding a coupe (wouldnt suggest sliding a 4 door hardtop) for a fairly cheap price will be the hard part. Yes they came with a 20 but the redtops have seen better years, so you'll be headed towards a silvertop, 25 or something bigger anyway. If you're looking for a coupe to slide, it might be worthwile running around and trying to find one pre-modded in japan and leave it as track only, it'd be the cheapest way to get one. at least with the Aus RB30 you can slap on an ebay spec turbo, intercooler kit and a good tune can get you 180-200rwkw which is plenty to get an R31 sideways. *edit* - few pics ^ note the rear camber on the one in the background - R33 Rear cradle in AUS Spec R31
  19. That gold Coupe was THE R31House Drifter, Shibata san PAID to ship it over here, and was treated quite poorly by the guys who organised to bring them over. 31's slide damn good for the long, weighy bucket that they are, I know a bloke who started out with a stocker, a locker and a good seat, kicked the asses of a few higher powered, lighter weight cars. Plenty of youtube action, Joel MacKerres, Chris Easton, Ev Daws http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r_0uAoX1amk & we all love Fatz... *edit* (3min 25) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wr7reJKNUOY
  20. Rota Grids are off the market, will try to make them fit with slightly smaller tyres, and if not, they'll have a deposit on them anyway. Speedys are still F/S. Cheers.
  21. Time to sell up & find something a bit more suitable to a daily driver on country roads in NSW... Rota Grids :- 16x8 +10 4x114.3 On a 31 they scrub on the liners and cut the sidewalls w. 225's on with the guards lipped. I'm sure they'd fit fine with guards that have been rolled a bit heavier and liners removed, I dont want to do this. They were purchased in Febuary this year & are still in immaculate condition. 16x8 +10 all round Pics from when they were first put on - I dont have the caps. http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e184/GTS145/NANCEE1.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e184/GTS145/NANCEE-1.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e184/GTS145/nancee3-1.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e184/GTS145/nancee4-1.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e184/GTS145/nancee5-1.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e184/GTS145/wheels.jpg $600 without tyres Speedy Siroccos :- 16x7 +25 4x114.3 I got these with "NANCEE", I dont think I'll ever use them might as well move them along - No Tyres. I do have the caps $400 without tyres located in Orange NSW - I'm willing to freight at buyers expense. PM or email - [email protected] I'm also happy to swap for something if you have it, but I'm going to be particular. ( Chasing 4x114.3, 16's/17's , 7's to 8.5's, +15 to +25 ) Cheers, Bj.
