  5. hey guys, still trying to fix up the engine in my series 1 r33. picture 1: so i noticed on my greddy intake that there is 4 points that are blocked, i could not find anywhere that said what these were for and im very new to skylines and its got me screwed! if anyone could tell me what there for/ where to run them, if they are needed at all, would be great! picture 2: so my fpr is not rigged up? and i cant seem to find exactly how to hook it up? i seen some diy but even with them i found they were a bit hard to understand, like i said i am a noob, but like everyone you have to start somewhere and i would rather learn rather than just get it done somewhere, picture 3: i took my coilpacks out today to have a look over them and i noticed oil where the spark plug is, seemed odd to me, is that normal or? i was thinking that if its not normal i have a leaking gasket and oils finding its way there.
  6. well its not the neo engine, i dont see how price of the car has anything at all to do with it, i bought it for the engine to use in another car, i will be rebuilding it. an idle issue in my eyes isnt a big deal just need to diagnose the problem, thanks for the help?? oh no wait cheers for taking me as a dickhead haha
  7. hey guys, i bought a skyline, about 2 weeks ago and noticed that the fuel pressure regulator is actually not rigged up? i have no idle, to keep the car alive i have to keep the revs at 2000rpm, its very rough, could the fpr not being rigged up have something to do with this, cheers.

  9. nah i actually bought it like this, havent checked the coils yet, with the afm just take it out give it a clean out? how will i know if it has something to do with the coils? is there a sign to look out for?
  10. with the coilpacks and spark plugs what exactly am i looking for ? just make sure the leads are plugged in correctly or is there a sign if there is something wrong with either?
  11. allright so i have an idle problem, i start my r33 up and have to keep the revs above 2000rpm otherwise it will just drop and stall, sometimes the revs will hold at 2000rpm without being on the throttle but wont be for any longer than 3 seconds, i just took my aac off and gave it a clean up hoping that itd fix my problem as on here it seems to help alot of people. not me:( someone please help!! keep in mind im new to skylines so speak in dumb terms haha.

  15. hey everyone, love the site. allright well, i have a vs calais that i am putting an rb25det into, bought my donor skyline (r33) last week, was thinking ill take the engine out and sell the stuff off the skyline to hopefully make the money i spent back on it. just had a couple questions, 1# what is everyones opinions on a quality aftermarket ecu, the car is a manual, has 290rwkw for now. it still has stock nissan ecu. 2# would 1000cc injectors be good for around 300-350kw?? or would an upgrade be in order and if so at what power would it be worth changing them over. 3# what would the problem be if when i start the skyline it starts blowing out light smoke from the oil catch can? 4# and would anyone know if i could use a vl manual front half of the tailshaft and have the original vs rear part? anyone that has done this to a vs would love to talk, or even if someone could send me a link to someone thats done it would be a great help. and by the way i dont need anyone telling me to ditch the commodore and keep the skyline, have alot of love for my calais and its very neat to. cheers guys...
