  1. Ill check the cop video later tonight, cant hear it in work
  2. Heres a cool link I found showing Paul cars in his garage http://ca.autoblog.com/2013/12/04/paul-walker-ae-garage-personal-car-collection-classics-remembering-video-pics-gallery-photos/
  3. Thanks guys, some helpful info here. I have been reading through the rules and regs etc but it takes quite some time. I will come back if I come across any issues.
  4. Hi all Ive been speaking to a friend of mine about importing some cars from UK to Aus. Ideally I would like to get them over to sell but I need to know the rules on the aussie end of things as the gov websites are quite confusing. My friend has been exporting from UK for years so he knows what to do his end but has no idea what happens after shipping. I will be located in WA if that makes any difference to the rules? One of the questions I have is what test and mods are needed to allow the car to be roadworthy in aus? Are there restrictions on Supras, skylines and other high end jap or even german cars? How much does it generally cost to impot the car (Assuming all export fees, shipping etc have already been covered) Thanks for any advice given
  5. You should try living in britain. your luck to have a standard skyline over here let alone modified one.
  6. Damn my bad, I assumed the best there. Alwasy ask the seller to drop the declared price most of them will do it just to make a sale.
  7. Sounds like you have had a bad experience there. I used to rant and rave about cops when I was younger but I havnt been pulled for 3 years now even with heavily modified cars and illegal mods
  8. I have experience in the following automotive areas: Light vehicle fitting and servicing Basic panel beating (Im currently learning) Vinyl wrapping buying, selling and design are strong points. The rest of my experience is in people management as I work in head office right now in Tesco (International supermarket) I also run my own ebay store (www.motomods.co.uk) its a little side project but has helped me build up an extensive network of suppliers and fitters worldwide. Suprisingly alot of my sales actually go to australia so im hoping for a chance to utilise that one day and creat a fully operating business. I have no farm experience but I was planning on looking for agricultural work to allow my visa to be extended up to two years. Apparently 3 months is required but its seasonal so I may have to wait until Nov 2014 to get a job. Thanks for the links dude ill be sure to check em out.
  9. Hi all Im just in the process of re writing my C.V. for my arrival in Australia (From UK) Was just wanted to know if there is anything potential employers will be looking for? or if anyone on here is actually looking for new employees by chance? I will be applying for jobs within the car industry, mechanics, servicing, panel beating, detailing etc etc. in the Geraldton area, although I will be able to relocate within a reasonable distance (An hours drive or so from Geraldton) Also what would you generally wear to a job interview? smart shirt and slacks? any tips much appreciated. . .
  10. Sounds like fun. We are supposed to declare mods for insurance but of course no one bothers in UK. As long as the police cams pick up that you have insurance and your not driving like a complete tool they generally leave well enough alone. little example I drove round with illegal window tints on my supra for over a year without being pulled over.
  11. OK dare I ask what mods the authorities have allowed us? and what is not allowed?
  12. WA is my main priority lol but good to know all the same
  13. Think im going to heaven cant wait! Its £1.40 a litre here or $2.34 a litre in your money
  14. Thanks Sklyn! that clears alot up. . .however I have more questions (Should be the last ones) Do you have to have some kind of test with a rego (Like emissions test or anything) or do you just pay a fee each year to drive? Also is insurance mandatory in WA? (I will insure my cars but it makes buying and organising a purchase that much easier if it doesnt have to be done straight away) Your exactly right about the "real cars" in the UK. my house mate wants to ship his merc c class deisel over to aus (which is only worth about $15000)when he makes the move which is ridiculous when you consider that fact you can have a turbo or V8 engine in aus which is impossible to do in UK. Typical brit attitude right there!!
