  1. bump - would like to sell this as I need to buy a motorbike for commuting... so price lowered to $18,000
  2. This vehicle will come with rego until April 2008 + roadworthy certificate. Newly complianced. This is a private sale, genuine reason for sale. The Caldina is an AWD wagon, with the most powerful production 3SGTE Toyota ever made. Stock standard the manual has 193kW with 324Nm of torque and weighs in at 1360kg (not too bad for a wagon!). Performance figures are quoted as: 0-100 in ~ 6 seconds 1/4 mile in 13.9secs. Yet this car uses 9L/100km (10-15 mode city driving), and I've managed under 8 while highway driving. This car also has Vehicle Stability Control for great handling, a rear LSD and of course ABS, Airbags, power everything and HID/Xenon headlights. This is a very well cared for example, it was an auction grade 4 and I have all the auction paperwork and also original logbooks for it. Also comes with a new Sony MEXBT2500 headunit. Exterior is excellent, and the interior is in top shape also. Be one of the first to own a MANUAL GT-T, lighter than the automatic, and a true sports wagon! This car is a very nice dark blue metallic. It has a power sunroof and a factory bodykit. Great value for money - more power than an '02 WRX, less km's than most, and also less expensive! Asking: $18,000 (inc. rego and RWC) ONO Contact: Rob, mobile: 0402222373 Email: [email protected]
  3. Come and pick up an almost new stock exhaust - it is the same used for compliance, my stagea had an aftermarket exhaust; this one was installed by the compliance shop and as soon as I took delivery of the car I put the aftermarket exhaust back on. It's taking up space in my garage, so you can have it for free. Give me a call on 0402222373. Or email [email protected] PM is probably not ideal as I'm not on here much.
  4. Well done mate, looks like she's coming together nicely for you
  5. I would say you have no chance of getting any compensation for that mate... the shipping company isn't going to take any responsibility, they never do, it could have been somebody at the wharf on either end, could have been a tow truck driver, could have been the pest controller... I had wheels and other stuff stolen before, never got anything back. Your car's looking good, looks a bit odd with the stocko exhaust poking through the massive hole in the rear bar, hehe... but it has a bit of rust?
  6. installed parts don't normally get listed on the BOL...
  7. NRGIZD, saw your Stagea at Nizmo today
  8. Why would the engine have to come out for a headgasket replacement?!? And mate, if anybody charges you $2000.-, hell...even $1000.- to take the engine in and out of your car then you're getting ripped off. I'd expect labour for a complete engine in+out to cost no more than $500.- plus machining + crack testing the head $300.- (that's on the expensive side!) plus head gasket $300.- And no, you wouldn't be better off getting a new engine just because your headgasket is blown
  9. It won't make any difference whether you cut it out or not, and you'll probably need a dimmer once you've got the brighter globes...
  10. Dimmers are no longer a Compliance requirement, that was dropped mid last year, so any cars complianced after that won't have dimmers
  11. Both Terminal and I moved heaven and earth here in OZ to try and source a windscreen. The only options are import or Nissan. Importing is really only worth it if you get 2 or more windscreens. Oh, of course you could also get one "made" but that'd set you back around 3 grand...
  12. Spotted a Series 1 wine red Stagea on Oxley Rd. around 2PM today. Gave him the thumbs up and he looked a bit perplexed because I was on the motorbike at the time
