Yeah, as the guys have said, no point planning now for a purchase at xmas HOWEVER I don't see a problem with your budget for what you want. You won't get a powerhouse for that price, but you will get a decent midrange system. I don't know the requirements for Suretrak/CostX but I see cad as being the most hungry. A few years ago you needed a powerhouse for decent cad performance, but these days any midrange desktop with a big chunk of ram will do nicely. So yeah, hit us up again when you are ready to buy. Between all of us you'll probably get a few options to pick from
