Yea , Glenn got back from doing some tuning in KL recently and said the majority was evo look alikes or 2wd ones converted to 4wd using wrecked evo's. Did say there was the odd GTR around though. Also said he sweated buckets and hated the squat overs with the hose... :thumbdwn: Cheers Ken

The diagnosis points you have given are not descriptive and definitive enough to pinpoint the exact problem ( and why would a qualified person spend hrs on here trying to anyway ) It could be anything from a faulty reg , split hose, leaking injector, filler neck incorrectly fitted ( my guess as I told you before ) , MAYBE running rich, bad plugs, and the wrath of god ( well maybe not the last one ) As has been explained to you before , rather than ask 15 different people at 20 different times , which pisses everybody off cos you get there advice and then ask someone else , go to one person , pay the money and get it sorted. BTW if you smell fuel is cos it's is unburnt or leaking which is RICH , not LEAN. And in case you missed the post from 2 nights ago , all ulp cars run black exhausts. It was the lead that caused the grey colour in the pipe Cheers Ken

Well if you have just rebuilt the motor , I wouldn't be putting any synthetic oil in it until the engine is bedded. All synthetics have good viscosity and shear qualities which means the rings will have a hard time bedding in. Use a light weight mineral oil ( Valvoline low vis is good ) for the bedding and then change to your exotic full synthetic. Yes I agree that Redline is a very good product but as posted earlier, any full synthetic will do the job of protecting your Skyline engine.

If you are going full house and chasing that last bit then yes I would p/p. Remember that a turbo engine pushes the gases in , it doesn't rely on vacuum or atmosphere to get the fuel/air charge in. Upping the boost by 1lb would probably have the same result on a good flowing head ( which the RB25 is reasonable). If you could do the job yourself , fine but I think a good 3 angle valve job and a cleanup will be fine. Cheers Ken

All exhaust pipes are black since they removed the lead content in fuel and the smell is probably a bad seal at the filler neck. yes we have spring compressors and can install stock springs. we even have a set in stock if you don't. The dyno will be running by the end of the week and we can check your a/f's then or we have a mobile a/f and can take it for a blastif you want to bring it around. Yep , true that but the shot in HPI , it didn't seem to be doing too bad.. They probably need to think about starting earlier, less cars ( but better quality) and maybe make everyone run in there number order. Some guys just pulled off the track and lined straight back up again which made it hard for others. Was a top day though( despite the weather ) and when we run one later on over here will see about getting some hardcores from the east to come. Cheers Ken
