THANKS GUYS... for all your input on my problem !!! to keep it simple here :::: IT WAS THE BLOODY COIL PACKS ……!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! bit the bullet and bought a set of "Spitfires".....and have ALL my 350 R/W/HP ….BACK !!! Purring like a kitten...…….AGAIN !! do agree with Peeps that have said :::: there should be a button you can hit with this type of problem stating :::::: (ITS YOUR BLOODY COIL PACKS !! ) again.... Many thanks peeps....

  3. OK LADS.... I get your point !! YES... the car was running rough soon after I bought it and the "yellow jackets" fixed this a while back ! now back to crap again . being an old fart at 63 … I am looking elsewhere being I have not got 2 years out of the yellow,s ? not to mention...…. shit I am going though some fuel at the moment !!!!! have put my name on a set of gen spitfires and will post up what if anything changes when fitted ?? appreciate your input lads...……. cheers Nick P.
  4. OK BOB...totally agree with "cas" ? so have today had this out & swapped with one from my build r33 coupe in the GGE... NO change . so its not this. Fuel delivery was done by previous owner ? don't know what pump it is but by jingo it IS a big unit ? I have a 044 In the coupe and this pump is twice the bloody size (all black ) !! still leaning towards C/Packs ? car was doing the same but worse around 14 months ago with the stockers in... hence the yellows . will grab a set of SPITS and throw these in and see if I get lucky ? if not…….. tuner !!

  6. GTS BOY.... I AM over it already !! have better things to do on a Sat than chase gremlins ?? NOT a boost leak. this IS DEF an electrical problem ! but in answer to your Q,s.... "yellow jacket" coils. plug gap "08". does not matter if I have the $130 a set plugs in... or.... the $35 a set in ?? the problem IS inconsistent !!! this IS what is doing my head in ?? can miss on start up...… can miss when ever it wants at any rev range. can be cruising along at 60 kys and you can feel it come on (car falls apart ) ? 5 maybe 10 mins of Shit..... and it goes away till later ? have closed the bonnet for now & will book it in with Matty at PITTS next week.. !! "book it" don't know how long before I can get in into him to check it out . Busy Shop by all accounts ?? Shit happens I guess.

( I am looking at CAS ? ) at this stage ? have another R33 Coupe in the gge… may swap these units over to see IF I get lucky ?   8. OK GUYS.....hoping some one with more upstairs than me can maybe shed some light on my problem...being its doing my f#@king head in ..!!! what I am working with ::; R33 (S2) SEDAN. (5 Speed )106,XXX Kys. 160 across all 6. ALL BLITZ :: TD05 TURBO. alloy intake. I/COOLER. twin ZONE BOOST CONTROLLER. Alloy INTAKE. pod filter . 100 Mill EXHAUST. 750 Injectors . Blitz reg.. t/ timer. ect.ect.. I am an old fart now and had 12 R33,s over my time but THIS …. has got me ….Whenever it wants to it just shits itself "spark" wise and misses and spits and breaks down at ANY REVS..? it CAN do this after a cold start at tick over and run on 4 ? (sounds like it ?) it WILL come good ? ? hit the road and 10 mins later of good get up and go..... it falls apart AGAIN ….on boost .. or...off boost !! (running 1.2 bar... NOW...have changed Coil Packs (new )...have changed plugs (new ) I evan bought 2 sets of plugs in case a couple were dicky ?? NOT 6 months ago had a full (POWER F/C ) TUNE ! any help on this Fella,s would be appreciated ? …..OR..... I am in for another Power F/C tune....!!!! cheers Nick P.

FRONT PAIR. bought these new. fitted in my build car and out ! so would class them as new..! cannot remember name brand ? but are bigger bore and heavy units ! 15 STAGE damper adjustable . spring rate is 9KG. (have fitted "track" coil overs ) $200 buys them + POST to buyer ! MONEY BACK...... if these are NOT what I say they are !!! (cannot be fairer than this !! ) any questions....ASK ? cheers Nick.
  10. just like to add here peeps (mainly for others WHEN you hit this problem ) i am rebuilding a 93 "S1" GTST. and came across the dreaded coolant filling the passanger carpet area..!! THE BLOODY HEATER CORE..!! removing the "heater core" is fairly simple...and ordered another one.....(did not fit ..? )....then other one....(did not fit..? ) I HAVE since found out there ARE 2 SIZES in regard to the heater cores in a R33 SKYLINE..? I cannot tell you IF the "S2' runs the thicker (35MM thick unit ) ...over the/ my (25MM thick unit ! ) the core / size IS the same....just the thickness of the 2 units..? and obviously they are NOT interchangeable..? it pays IF you have to buy another one :::: ask / tell the seller to check thickness of unit..? in my case I needed the "thinner" 25mm core...most were 35mm thick..? those that want to know :::: S2 front bumper onto a S1 nose....do-able ! (note:: must have the same REO BAR ) ie::: S2 bumper onto a S1 car using S1 REO will NOT FIT !! as stated here....headlights WILL stick "forward" off the S2 bumper as will the grill. unless ALL S2. (also if you have "fogs" in your S1 bar. and are fitting an S2 bar. make sure you have the small wiring loom off the S2 fogs..? you WILL have to change the "connector plugs" from S2...to....S1 so they work in your S1 CAR..! ) gauge cluster interchangeable..!! dash cluster surround face interchangeable !! sharing IS caring....LOL...all the best....
  11. many thanks "JIFFO" for your input my friend....! DEF....no vacuum leaks here ! :: ( I screwed up when I first placed the engine in the car ( after a rebuild ) and fitted a front mount ,but was not happy with the way the piping kit had to be routed though the driver side rail "so to speak" and up over the belt cover..? so I came back behind the FMIC and followed the stock route to the intake ! ) sooooooo....after checking timing ect::: I pulled the throttle cable UP under the bonnet by hand just to get the revs up to around the 4000rpm mark (this I DO NOT recommend EVER again ) I fouled the cable and the engine revved to the LIMITER...for a few seconds !! YES...basically stock ::: am running R34 turbo with OP6 rear/ full 3 inch exhaust / MINES ECU. on the first "fire up" (once fitted ) the engine idled a LOT higher and have played with the TPS (after marking its position first ) the air idle "screw" in/on the side of the unit in question ect;;ect. WILL get the girl into "Gavin woods" tuning shop when I can..! (after a new frt screen/ auto electrician to re-wire the "low beam" lights..? they don't work from the NEW switch..? but can throw power to them and they light up..?? and get the crap window tint RE-DONE so I can see out the windows..!! (lol ) BUT....there is no way I can get the IDLE down to a respectable level with all plugs fitted on the AICV..??? all the best mate Nick.
  12. so sorry "jiffo" should have put more info IN...! the part in question IS ::: the bigger brown plug which I believe plugs into a small motor unit::: ( this plug once connected whips the revs WAY up at any stage of engine heat..??? ) the smaller ( under this ) plug does NOTHING at all at any stage..? the air regulator I have NOT touched at this stage purely because its a "bitch" to get too..!!! hope this helps a bit , and thank you for a quick reply on this my friend...
  13. ok lads. been a member a while but don't get on here much...BUT ...I have a question only because I cannot seem to find / fix the problem I have..? I believe its called the "AICV" the little sucker at the back of the intake manifold that regulates AIR on a cold start ! I have a R33 GTST (RB25DET ) I am building from scratch and up to now have been able to fix the "many" problems with a total rebuild on these things !! (and NO history ? ) to the point ! at this stage the car starts and idles sweet as a nut at about 1100 rpm WITH THE AICV DISCONNECTED.! and DOES drop off to about 700 rpm when hot..! I have removed said part and cleaned and replaced without a win. IF I reconnect the plug to the AICV the revs straight away jump to approx. 1700 rpm and hold there HOT or COLD..? and I mean HOT ::ie:: rad cap removed and thermostat open watching rad fluid flowing though the rad.! is the unit shot /seized..? or am I missing something else here..? many thanks in advance for ANY help given on this, it is doing my head in..! CHEERS.
  14. not sure where to post this lads.....so DONT flame me.....? I HAVE just tried to do this, but with no luck...? (replace heater core/ rad ) on my R33. ) DID YOU KNOW THERE ARE 2 SIZES TO THESE HEATER CORES...!!! or...am I missing something..? the one I have just pulled from my late 93 R33 GTST . ....is a LOT SMALLER than the one I have bought to replace it. and as such the bigger one WILL NOT FIT into my cars housing...!!! at this stage lads....I am ALL EARS in regard to any info on this..? being I am stumped now till I find a "small" unit that will fit into my car....!!! cheers ?
  15. ok members this is doing my head in..? the biggest problem I have is I don't know the cars history..? bought it from country QLD . been sitting in a shed since 09 . have checked ALL fuses I can find in/ on the car . have checked main connectors to the headlights and no power here ! have spot / fog lights ok. indicators ok. parker lights from steering arm working ok.! but no low beam both lights. no high beam to both .and no high beam light in dash when selected on steering arm..? IS there an "in line fuse" I should be looking for on this 93 R33. or relays I don't know about..? have read a lot of peeps saying the indicator arm on these S1,s were a problem..? OR.........should I just cut my losses and get a auto sparky to look at it..? cheers nick.
