  1. Hey all, Can anyone recommend a good suspension shop in Perth to take the 33 to? i've got a problem where when you turn to the left, the steering wheel doesnt return to center (It returns just fine when turning to the right). It's due for an allignment after getting new tyres on it. But when I went to book it in and explained what it was doing as well, they said it could be a partially seized ball joint or steering rack? They recommended taking it to Pedders - Not sure if they are any good these days? Cheers Adam
  2. What a PITA place for the actuator to be located. I cant even get my hands in there far enough to touch the unit.... I got the missus to try and she can just touch it along with the first bolt, but not enough to undo the first bolt.. let alone the second one. So far we've both tried and we've spent more time just trying to get to it then im willing to admit.. The only thing we've got to show for it, is the constant clicking noise on start and badly sliced hands Has anyone else managed to do this on a S2 without removing the entire dash? It's driving me crazy! Or is there anyone in Perth who has managed to do it who could help me just to get the unit out?? Cheers Adam
  3. awesome post mate! stumbled across this when I was trying to find how to stop the dreaded a/c clicking noise - or more descriptive, a way to get to the actuator in a s2 with the airbag. For the life of me I couldn't even get my hands in there to touch the unit, let alone remove it. I've even got the missus to try (way smaller hands then mine) and whilst she can touch the unit and almost get to the first bold, no joy.... nothing to show for it, but lots of small cuts. I like your idea of only partially removing the dash (I feared my only solution was a full dash removal) and i've just scanned through predators full dash removal guide. (Link here) and found some photos that were still working (Link Here) I'm wondering just how far into the dash removal you had to go, to be able to lift it up 10cm or so? or if since you wrote this post, you may have had another idea on how to get to the actuator? - i'm really not keen on removing the entire dash or doing 98% of the dash removal, with the remaining 2% being the difference between taking the dash out of the car or not? Any ideas/info you could provide would be greatly appreciated! Anything to save me from either ripping out the entire dash, or slicing my hands to pieces Cheers Adam
  4. Cheers for the reply mate. I looked them up online and was surprised, as they were one of the custom seat cover makes I had found on Ebay - I just didn't recognize their name It def looks good, but way out of the price range at the moment. I bought a set of generic seat covers for "Nissan's" from a car store last week but unfortunately the side bolsters fo the bucket seat stopped it from fitting properly. Cant believe how hard it is to find just some general seat covers that fit the R33 seats.. Without costing the earth lol. Does anyone know if the R33 bucket seats are actually a re-branded and re-covered seat? I think I vaguely remember reading somewhere that they might be re-covered recaro seats? Cheers Adam
  5. Hey all, Sorry for the delayed reply - stupid spam filter! - and thanks for the reply sydking Whilst i have managed to keep my seats clean for the 6 years i've had the car, I cant say the same for the drivers side bolster.. It has the usual wear mark/hole on the drivers side bolster. I've spent ages looking for seat covers, but keep coming back to virtually the same two. Either a custom leather one ($300+ a pair!) or some crap looking throw over, universal ones. I got a quote the other day from an auto trimmer to repair the seat bolster... $150-$200 and will be the closest matching colour they can get, but will obviously be different and cant account for the fading of the rest of the seat. Has anyone managed to find a pair of front seat covers (even universal ones) that actually fit the seat, not throw over type? Thanks Adam
  6. Morning all, Wondering if anyone here has managed to get a good pair of front seat covers for a 33? The only ones I've been able to find are the "universal" ones which are usually cheap crap and don't fit or the hand made and stupidly expensive ones ($300+ for a pair!) Can anyone point me in the right direction where I could find a pair of covers? Ones that actually fit, don't look schit and don't cost $100's? Cheers Adam
  7. happen to have a S2 right hand side splash guard by any chance mate?
  8. awesome mate, i'll grab one off you - will txt you tomorrow morning as its late over there now
  9. Hey mate Do you have the drivers side front splash guard from the wheel arch from a series 2? Cheers Adam
  10. Thanks for the reply Dale I've never heard of spot-facing? Are you able to tell me a bit more about it or how I'd go about doing it? Is it similar to the drill bit that you would use in woodworking to widen the top of a pre-drilled hole so that the screw head goes all the way in, sitting flush with the surface? - sorry about the vague description. I'm not sure what it's called or the drill bit that does it is called either lol
  11. G'day all Hoping someone out there could share some wisdom on how to protect a painted surface from damage / flaking when tightening a bolt? Back story - fitting a strut brace and trying to tighten the bolts, however as they need to be rather tight I don't want to damage the paint on the collars - painted them about 2 weeks ago and put a clear coat on aswell I've tried rubber washers, but as the bolt gets tighter, even the rubber washer is starting to move and has started to slightly damage the paint. Any ideas ? Photo below is of the collars
  12. Awesome, Thanks heaps everyone for your help - and thanks H4x for the confirmation and part numbers! Indeed it is correct that they are not compatible and are different. Once I had the part numbers for both S1 and S2 I came across this post (here) which had these pictures in it, which shows the difference between S1 and S2 splash guards Now im trying to find somewhere that I can get a replacement (Have been watching ebay/gumtree/for sale section of forum - but they are usually over east australia or from a S1) I came across a website called amayama that sells them apparently? Anyone had any experience with them? (Link Here) Cheers Adam
