  1. Also, what channel do we use for the Walkie Talkies...? forgot to ask last year
  2. The link above is no longer valid, fairly sure the one I copied below should be correct.. http://www.rms.nsw.gov.au/documents/roads/safety-rules/standards/vsi-06-light-vehicle-modifications.pdf
  3. People should post in here more often.... I see Skyline's all the time around Newcastle/Gosford
  4. Ah I see the issue, I'm saying that is what I'm currently insured through, nrma full comprehensive not nrma classic and that I need to swap over to the NRMA classic insurance because currently my car is only insured for $3k
  5. Ive driven my car a total of 400kms in 2 months. I drove to sydeny from newcastle last weekend. Which was 250kms. Otherwise i would have driven 150ks in 2 months.... safe to say its not daily driven. Not even a weekend car at this point. I occasionly drive to the shops and back just to give it a run.. Unsure what you mean otherwise... im just stating if you go through the typical full comprehensive at nrma with a gtst your going to be screwed in an accident etc As my car is 21years old, not daily driven etc it qualifies for vintage and classic insurance. Where i will get closer to what the car is actually worth.
  6. My car is currently insured full comprehensive through nrma. 33 gtst and the best they will do is $3500 My rims/tyres are worth more. If I'm in an accident I'm screwed Considering going over to the vvc atleast I might get what the cars worth
  7. It was one of those " Claimed Aboriginal lands" and he happened to legally buy it after he claimed it. Just made it easier to use the land I guess. Basically it doesn't make a difference. There's a 20year lease with him and he wrote a massive letter supporting the project and sent it in to the council. Or something like that
  8. Well the land they are putting it on is owned by 1 man who is also Aboriginal. He has given his written permission etc
  9. I know i said they are trying their hardest... but this is them trying their hardest. They are a very lazy small group of people who by the sounds of it have nothing else to complain about. When ever someone says something against their opinion they come back with " why don't you put it in your backyard then" and so on.... they are posting on casar parks facebook page and complaining on the local facebook groups. BUT no petition, no " casar park isn't welcome" signs or anything like that and pretty much every single other person wants it to be built because of the income it will bring to the area, business's will grow, property values will go up etc etc
  10. by people complaining i litually mean they are whinging to each other on facebook and thats about it.. no petitions no signs no nothing. They arnt exactly trying very hard. more like the ramblings of a small group of grumpy small town people
  11. I only live 10 minutes from where they want to build this, safe to say I cannot wait... There is some locals that live along the road it will be near and they are trying their hardest to get it shut down but it's like 100 vs everyone in NSW. So not an issue
  12. niZmo man pretty much summed it up unfortunately... " The money is not an issue. We continue to work closely with the council on ironing out the last of the DA hurdles, but I cant predict their timeframes "
  13. ive been in contact with one of the Founders ( via her Motorcycle facebook page ) she said this.. " We are just working with the council on some minor ecological assessments that arose in the DA process. The council amalgamation has been a spanner in the works and had delayed a number of actions as well. Everything is still progressing well, just taking longer than we hoped because of these two factors. " It's still all good and going ahead, just typical council crap. The merging of 2 council areas hasn't helped the situation
  14. I'm not a fan of Suv's either, neither is the wife but we bought her a 2015 Nissan X-trail Diesel 4wd Because of the fuel economy, space and it can actually utilise a less then smooth road.. I've taken it onto the beach, up into the mountains, mud, dirt etc and it performs great for what it is.. obviously not a off-roader so don't take it too far. this Bentley is just Stupid. you may as well hold up a sign saying "I need to over compensate everything in my life because I feel inadequate" But that's just my opinion...
  15. Wish the DA would hurry up and approve it! everything is set in stone, just the government taking its sweet time as usual the great news is that it is still going ahead and has everything but the DA's approval. ( reviving an old thread I know... but it's still going strong which is great! )
  16. I won't know what Clutch he ended up getting from Western Clutch until tomorrow. If he got an Exedy, hopefully it will last and If not, these things happen.
  17. ....I've never had any issues with Exedy. Have used them for 8 years. Not really a Pulsar problem. More of a I live in a crap area, where do people recommend you go for clutches kind of problem.
  18. Well thank you both for the Replies, Gave Western clutch a rang, spoke to Scott. Got some good Advice on top of a fairly good priced clutch. I rang a few Clutch places closer to my area before posting on here, They were all useless. One guy tried to argue with me that pulsars didnt come out with a SR20DE, so it was impossible for this to have a DET in it.
  19. So, My brother has a N15 pulsar with a SR20DET in it. ( came factory with a sr20de, had a new motor put in that was a sr20det ) He has blown 5th gear, and 2nd is crunching something Chronic. So we found a Rebuilt SR20DET fwd Gearbox with a LSD. Hopefully it will handle the 230Kw at the wheels. Obviously your not going to put in the old Clutch, BUT we are having a hard time finding someone that Sells a SR20DET FWD Clutch. Found one in america but was going to cost $670, that seems slightly excessive. Did a quick search on here, didnt find anything, google search isnt proving to be much use either ( unless i just suck at googling stuff. ) So, Any ideas/suggestions or know where i can get one?
  20. I still have never been booked for anything... mainly due to living in a smallish town. ( closest police station is over 20 km away.. ) It looks like they have tightened the requirements up heaps in the last year. Possibly the under 25 only applies now? I think the person I got was a tad cranky at the time.
  21. Not skyline related, but worthy of this post.. My dad goes through Nrma vvc for his 1974 Torana SLR5000, Agreed value of 45k, 9000kms a year, Didnt need pics, Didnt ask about Modifications ( did a 11.3 qtr at eastern creek, with plenty of wheel spin.. ) and $450 per year. Clean driving record for 12 years, and 59years old, Apparently means they dont question the usage or mods of the vehicle. I was also denied this for my previous vehicle, as it was too modified, Only took them about 4 minutes to say no. Assuming my age screwed it up for me. i was 21 at the time.
  22. Hello Joe and Welcome to the Forums of SAU, It's a friendly place with Generally awesome people. Usually most of the information you could possibly ever need has been covered many times, and found through the search function.. I personally would recommend a good EBC ( Electronic boost controller ) as I personally have found the Boost T's to cause Problems. Assuming that you have the stock Airbox? ( unless its a K&N pod.. ) if it's the stock airbox, dont change to a pod unless necessary Or you want the stock BOV to be louder.. The stock Airbox will handle pretty much anything you throw at it. Possibly look at getting a Hard intake pipe, as the standard ones cant handle too much boost and ends up sucking itself closed. Cant give any advice on the turbo issue.. You will have more luck if you post that question in the Forced induction section of the Forum. Note* Hopefully I didnt say anything incorrect in this.. Someone will correct me if i stuffed up
