  1. Hey all, I have a boost gauge that is attached to the steering surround with 3M VHB double sided tape. Is this OK for DECA? Cheers, Glynn
  2. First time at DECA - had an awesome time.. and a big thanks to all the volunteers who made the event happen
  3. why not just source GTS rotors from DBA?..
  4. I had to replace my AFM as mine stopped working (suspect due to using an oil-type pod filter). I ended up sourcing a 2nd hand replacement off someone wrecking their car on the forums - For reference it's the same AFM on NA as Turbo. Cheers chicane
  5. I'm after the above 2 items: Steering Wheel - after one that is not too worn around the wear areas (the paint/finish on the series 1 wheel tends to scratch/rub off) The drivers side electric windows plastic surround - I'm not after the switches, just the plastic surround. Melb preferably but interstate is not out of the question.. Cheers Chicane
  6. What a job, its finally done now though! those plugs are an absolute mongrel to work with.. worth it in the end though, got jaycar bitumen + flashtac to deaden the door, flush mounted tweeters at the top corner of the door trims, finished it at 2am last night. Job done =)
  7. Thanks fhrx, will pick up one of those things and see how i go on the weekend..
  8. Yesterday I started an install of some new splits in my R33, I'm also interested to know if there are any tips to get access to the door plugs/sockets from the reverse side (passenger side, above ECU). I hit major issues with running new cable through the factory plugs, I managed to remove them and drill the holes, however I had problems with getting the socket to stay in place (theres no room to move) - unfortunately the 2 metal clips that hold the socket in place fell out and into the body of the car. Any ideas where I could get some new clips? On the drivers side, similar thing happened but I managed to hold the socket in place as I tightened up the bolt and got the plug to hold in place. What would I need to remove in the (passenger) footwell to get access to the back of the socket to hold it in place and feed the wire through? Also I initially tried to run 2 pairs of wires through (tweeter and woofer) and have the crossovers inside the car (and the tweeter mounted at the top of the door trim on both sides). Any ideas how I could fix this prob? Cheers, chicane
  9. Finally got mine last Tuesday, however they forgot to put in the gasket (probably because mine were HPC coated, partsco just on forwarded the package which was wrapped up at the HPC place) They dispatched a gasket on Friday express so hopefully that doesnt take too long but that said, the Coby Extractors are definitely nicely made.. just cant wait to get them on! Out of interest, what have others paid to get them fitted, and what did that include? I have a catback already and im going to use the stock cat for the moment.. Cheers! chicane
  10. Because with a turbo, the exhaust wheel is in the path of the combustion gases, so it 'muffles' the sound (where NA its direct). Cheers
  11. damn.. that sounds like crap.. how annoying!!
