Hey Guys, My importer is having problems sourcing a decent RWC place for my fresh import which has just been complied. Many places are closing up v soon and i need to get this sorted before they all do. Now im not looking for a dodgy rwc or anything like that, just someone who's decent and doesn't mind dealing with imports. As there is a few who don't like them. I don't really feel like being taken to the cleaners for thing's that aren't even a problem. If you guys could recommend anything it would be great! Thanks Trent

Its not like it takes a genius to figure it out mate. I'm sure the average theif knows how to get into what hes after.

Well on that Saturday i went around and checked out the car. Mind you i was extremely interested and have funds waiting to spend. He just throws me the keys and says go look at it.. Im like ok.. Looked around for 10-15 then said can we go for a test drive.. Mind you i was the only person there. He then proceeded to tell me that they dont let people test drive the cars unless there is a $500 DEPOSIT in which if the car drives bad i get back.. But if it drives well i'd be expected to purchase the car? I'm sick of these importers thinking that because they import "rare" cars they don't have to try sell them. I would never ever go back to him.

Cheers for that.. Since the car is in Australia & compliance is already done. There shouldn't be too much for me to worry about. From the list i've just thrown up.. - Victorian RWC - Book appointment @ Vicroads - Make sure compliance plates & vin is stamped on the car. - Bring import papers, raws papers, compliance papers - Proof of ownership so like a reciept or something - Take to vicroads, go through appointment. Pay stupid amounts of money to get it regoed.

Hey Guys, I'm looking @ getting a car that has just been bought into the country. It's been complied and all just awaiting registration. What im after is what the process from here is? From what i know, it requires a Victorian RWC. Then I'd book an appointment @ vicroads get all the checks done. Supply the compliance papers and then its registered? Just want to know is there anything im missing, anything i should watch out for? Don't really want to get stooged with this. Cheers

I'm going to checkout an evo here tommorrow. When i called, i asked if i could test drive... He almost laughed... and said "oh no i'll be too busy, you will ahve to come during the week for a test drive" wtf?! What kinda service is that? guessing he doesn't want to sell a car.
