  1. So for a while now my car has been whining loud when I hit high boost, it's weird because it only happens in 1st and second. Anyway. I decided to take a look at my turbo and exhaust manifold. I discovered the 1st and last exhaust manifold bolts had snapped off. So I gotta extract those. Upon inspection of my turbo I noticed a weird hole inside the compressor side housing.I have attached some photos. Is that supposed to be there? Or is my turbo actually f**ked. The funny thing is if it is screwed I haven't noticed any change in boost. Anyways thanks for reading Cheers
  2. You know what I think it might be the rocker arm covers. I just looked at the back of both of them and there is a lot of oil build up which could be dripping down. I really hope it's the rocker arm cover gaskets because that is a hell of a lot easier to fix than a rear main seal
  3. Thanks all for the replies. I will definitely look at replacing the rear engine deal.
  4. Okay thanks. so the oil must be driping down somewhere else and accumulating there?
  5. My Car ( 1996 r33 gts25t 5 speed manual ) has had a slow leak for a while. I haven't been able to pinpoint where it's coming from or if it's gearbox oil or engine oil. the leak drips down from the front of the transmission and I noticed that there is a hole right where it drips from. I don't know if that hole is supposed to be there or if it's not.I have attached a photo of the hole. Maybe someone can tell me what that is and if it's supposed to be there. thank you
  6. my 1996 gts25t has had a rough idle and a intermittent misfire for awhile. i replaced the spark plugs about 600kms ago and it ran fine for awhile but it started to run bad again. i plugged in my consult and looked at some gauges. i noticed that the timing degree before top dead center jumped around from 10 degrees up to 15 degrees. everything else seemed fine. i am wondering if it could be the timing causing my issues, and if so what would be the cause of the timing issue. The car is relatively stock has a cat back exhaust with cat delete and a intake. I videoed the timing gauge jumping around but the video is to big to upload. thanks in advance. shane
  7. Does a consult connector basically connect to the ecu and them plug into a computer with a logging program on it?
  8. I'll definitely take that into consideration. thanks
  9. I'll pull them out this weekend. I don't think it's the maf. I cleaned it and when I unplugged it will the car was running the car stopped running. I noticed that the misfire only occurs at idle and from 1000rpm to around 2500rpm. I also noticed that at high rpm there is like a screaming noise coming from the engine bay. I don't know if the misfire and this are related or not.
  10. Okay more about the car. I have had it for about 8 months now and this is the only misfire issue I have had with it. The misfire as stated before only occurs when the car is warmed up. the car is relatively stock. Exhaust system with Test pipe. Air intake. Boost gauge and turbo timer. as far as I know the car has not been tuned. thanks
  11. A week ago I noticed my car started to misfire irregular at idle. Wasn't constant just a miss every few second. Also started missing under low rpm acceleration and was fine a 5000+ rpm. I changed out the old spark plugs with new ones and the car ran Amazing.... for about a week. The car has started showing the same symptoms as before. I just don't understand why the car ran so well after the installation of the new plugs only to start misfiring again a week later. Any advance is welcome. Thank you
