  1. Sump sold to me. Excellent seller. Thanks for working with the international shipping. Highly recommended
  2. Again, why aren't you keen on the R35 mafs? better and cheaper.
  3. So you simply rebuilt your x-fer case as standard? Does ANYONE want to spill the beans on what "altering the plate arrangement" means? There are a handful of threads talking about this but no one actually cares to explain it.
  4. Title says it all. Primarily looking for the 2 mounts for an R33 GTR power steering pump. As an aside: I'm also in the market for a light-weight (like greddy) pulley kit, same application. Thank you!
  5. r35 GTR afms. You can buy housings for about $150AUD on ebay (check ebay UK too), then get a pair of sensors and pigtails. sensors are from any parts shop and the connectors themselves I ordered from Ballenger motorsports. but any place that does wiring bits will do it. I have 200usd in my whole set-up
  6. just know that with that much mileage it's likely that your rings are letting some gas by. most skylines do it. your car could do another 180K just fine, but temper your expectations. what you described is exactly why VTA catch cans suck. Your crank case needs some vacuum on it to perform as it should.
  7. I personally wouldn't run the "solid shifter" as it's basically a stock level cut shorter. the "quick shift" actually is fulcrum change so the shifter is stock height, but shorter throw. I run the quick shift and the quality is outstanding, same as stock, just shorter. The leverage does make it feel a bit more notchy but it's a good and direct feel to the shifts and they are nice and short. My wife loves it. I would certainly not pay 600 for it. find a used one.
  8. A couple things: 1) the only coil set up (and I currently run it) I would even consider is the Delphi D585 coils (also known as LS2 truck coils, yes American V8 coils). These coils are the hot sh*t in the custom world as they are verified to put out more joules than just about anything out there on an actual Oscilloscope. Not marketing, BS, rumors, "oh my buddy's cousin's sister runs them," actual energy readings. Mojo performance makes a COP bracket for a reasonable price for the RB26 I know. I think he offers for the 25 as well, but go to his website and ask. I think the Audi R8 coils are also supposed to be pretty good but I haven't seen any ACTUAL data on them, just hearsay and I know they fit well. Spark energy aside, the audi and ls2 coils are good ideas because they get rid of the crap factory ignitor. 2) waste spark means absolutely nothing. it's just a coil firing concurrent with another coil firing. it does nothing for the other cylinder (that spark event is "wasted" hence the name). It allows you to run an engine on 3 ignition drivers instead of 6. If anything, wastespark reduces the effectiveness of your ignition because at high rpms, your coils could potentially run out of dwell time between spark events. that is basically not going to happen but it's the only event in which wastespark/sequential ignition may make a difference. Don't confuse this with sequential injection which IS a big deal. Your stock ECU already does sequential ignition and injection. Don't mess with it.
  9. Pressure will certainly build up with no breather or with just a VTA type of setup. RB's seem to suffer from worn but not yet destroyed rings very widely. AKA: the engine runs/pulls great but builds up crank pressure/has oiling issues. That said, you have a bad headgasket. you may have slightly worn rings, but it may not be too brutal, however your headgasket is fuxxed. do a leak down and compression test. the gasket may mess with your results but I doubt every cylinder is busted and the ones that aren't may give you a good idea of the health of your rings. What kind of mileage are we talking? depending on how much you cherish the car, new rings and a headgasket would not be a stupid investment regardless. I bet your rings are fine but old, and your gasket is totally out to lunch.
  10. Appreciate the warm welcome. I do need to make a build thread I'm just so bad taking pictures and updating things haha. Maybe I'll turn it around now.
  11. Hi everyone. My name is John and I'm an American living in Japan. While here I had the chance to pick up a cherry 1990 GTR. I've played with a lot of cars and motorcycles in the past but this is my first skyline. I'm pretty handy and already have a decent mod list going. Nismo charge pipes Tomei TI Extreme exhaust Full nismo suspension/bushings/R-tune coil overs Alcon 4 pot 355mm front brakes, Akebono 2 pot 350mm rear D585 coils Trust 100mm intercooler ABS Delete Cusco 1.5way rear diff Bride Euro seats Just to name some of the big stuff. Currently have an OS transmission put together and a nismo twin plate coppermix going in as my next project. I've attached some pics. One at the infamous Tatsumi PA, at Tsukuba Circuit, and at Fuji for the annual nismo festival. Hope you like them and happy to meet you all.
