  3. R33 Gts-t Manual 4door. 273 Rwkw Neat and tidy Sonic Silver, 1996, Series 2, Manual, 4 Door Skyline with a genuine 273 RWKW. Unfortunately for me, the timing belt tensioner has come loose and the engine is not running right. It isn't making power and backfiring. I suspect a valve may be bent. I have not investigated this. The car still runs and drives but I would not advise this until further investigation. I have dropped the price to reflect the suspected issue. I'm after a quick sale as I'm moving interstate. Pretty gutted I have to sell it and even more so that this has happened. I think you all know this car is an excellent example and it has been a complete joy to own.Offers over $6kNeat and tidy Sonic Silver, 1996, Series 2, Manual, 4 Door Skyline with a genuine 273 RWKW.Very reliable Canberra Car imported locally in 2002. 210,000Kms. 4. Thanks Lads. Good inputs. Seems the obvious path forward is to setup on E85 and leave majority of hardware as is and I'm pretty sure the vipec can handle a flex sensor. Then max it all out and decide from there.Might even give tuning it myself a red hot crack. A lumpy idle would be level 7 jizmatronic boost in the snow this morning was beyond luscious. Wheel spin through 3rd and hectic popping of the limiter.
  5. I agree, what will an RB typically tolerate? What this setup good for? If I add cams where will that get me? - Keen to increase area under the curve as well as top end.
  6. So yeah I ended up with this pretty decent R33. after swapping it for my BMW. Had it nearly a year now and naturally I am bored shitless so I want to waste time and money; Here's the list of mods when I got it, since then the only mods I've done are bulk skidsModifications are:-Genuine Garrett 3071 Turbo with braided lines and aluminium intake pipe.-Vi-Pec Engine Management System, tuned by ESP in Queanbeyan-Front-mount Intercooler-Upgraded 040 fuel pump-Upgraded 700cc (approx) injectors-Split-fire coil packs-Heavy duty clutch-Full X-Force exhaust system-Biggest pod filter you have ever seenn-Re-shimmed and serviced LSD Diff-Whiteline swaybars front and rear with new knuckles-DBA slotted brake rotors, braided lines and Project-Mu PadsTuned to 273 rwkw - I think 400 rwkw sounds more appropriate. Some options I have though about;1- put rb26 running gear in it make it 4wd and boost it some more2- punish the Rb25 so hard it pops, then repeat that several times at maximum power3- be cool and put a LS1 in it and twin turbo that4- sell it and get a GTR (- I'd like one but I need the 4 door now plus the wife think its cool and my son likes it too).
  7. sweet, Lol I'm also rocking a baby seat! He now doesn't ever stir when were limiter bashing and gutter flicking. It seems that has been normalised already
  8. Yes may well have been. Done a few little things to her so far; Peeled a set of tyres - obligatory settling in period Replaced alternator Replaced radiator short shifter disabled auto lock (felt like a japanese sex game every time the doors locked) Changed fluids And I'm loving this barge. Goes good, How tough are the gearboxes in these things? 2nd feels notchy and there is a slight whine. Right on Need some wheels pretty bad, any stock 33 ones floating around?
  9. Cheers PranK Yep thats the plan. here's a build thread of the E30, http://www.performanceforums.com/forums/showthread.php?67289528-E30-1JZ-R154-Jizz-machine-JZ30
  10. Hey Guys I have been a vehicle enthusiast since I learnt to skid my push bike. I've been into sleepers and have always built my own cars, the last being a 1JZ powered E30 BMW. I look at it as my apprenticeship working/building cars and I resisted the urge to ever own a mainstream performance vehicle. Mid life has caught up with me and other projects have taken over my car building time so the BMW never made it to the track. I'm keen to spend more time driving and less time under a car. .........................An opportunity came up last week to swap my E30 for an R33 Sedan. I apprehensively did it and so far this family chopper is really growing on me. I'm loving the fact that everything works and it handles really well for a slightly porky car. Some of you may know the car already as it came from a forum member here who kindly gave me the low down after the car went through another pair of hands in the last few months. I'm looking forward to getting to the track at some point, hope to meet some of you out there. Cheers Andy
