  1. Coil pack Hi Guys bought a second hand coil pack for my vq25dd. My car has coil packs 22448 AL515. The one I bought is 22448 AL510.. It seems to be running sluggish now. The guy said that the coil.pack was compatible. Is he correct or did he sell me the wrong part
  2. Fuel pump Hi Guys. Could some please reassure me the low speed fuel pump is the in tank pump and not the one on the back of the engine on my vq25dd. Thanks
  3. Thank you Josh. Is the low speed pump the one in the fuel tank? Or the one at the rear of the engine?
  4. Hi Scott. Still having problems with my vq25dd stagea. Started to miss under load now. Throwing up fault 1232 and 1110. Any clues. Could it be a stretched primary timing chain or broken tensioner causing it to miss like it is

  5. Fault codes on m35 vq25dd Hi Guys. Got a quick question. Been having issues with my M35 Stagea. Missing under load etc.cel light on. I got two codes out of the e.c.u but can't find them listed. 1232 and 1110.Can anyone shed some light on these codes. Thanks guys
  6. Hi guys. Having some fuel pressure problems so changed the in tank filter and thought I would see if pump was working ok. I turned the key on and the pump jumped into life but only for a few seconds and stopped. I repeated this and had the same thing happen. Is this normal or should it keep going.
  7. Hi scotty. Replaced rear fuel filter. Rear pump ran for a couple of seconds and cut off. I'm picking this is normal if you have not connected fuel line. Perhaps sensor cutting of pump to stop it running g on a dry tank. Up for the next suggestion you had
  8. Yes I saw it sitting there today when I was having a look for it. Not alot of room. The garage has quoted me $1200 to do the job. It seems a little on the high side. Hence me thinking I should put the overalls on and do it myself. Are there any tricks to getting it out easier or is it basically what you see you deal with. We took the car out today and it went fine apart from if you put your foot down. Then it just lagged. It got up to 100km/hr with no effort etc. It's only when you ask it for more it won't respond. There was a funny knocking noise under the bonnet for some months prior if it struck a hill etc. I put it down to a loose timing chain but it may of been a failing fuel pressure pump. Would that be a symptom? I will change the rear filter first I guess just to eliminate that. I see some high pressure pumps on ebay for about $80. Over here in nz the local wrecker wants $900 for a second hand unit. What are your thoughts on this
  9. Ok will give that a shot. Thanks guys.Is replacing the high pressure pump a relatively simple job? I'm preparing my self for worst case scenario
  10. Thanks guys. Is the pump and filter one unit? Is it a relatively easy job to do? I'm pretty mechanically minded but is always good to know what to expect before attempting it. It's hard to find any diagrams online of whats involved
  11. Ok. I will try that. To access the filter in the tank do you have to drop the fuel tank or can you access it from somewhere else. I gave read something about a panel under the rear seat.??
  12. Hi all I have a problem with my 2004 stagea that has the vq25dd engine in her. It has developed a fuel pressure problem giving the fault code P1332. My local garage who diagnosed the fault seems to think the problem is with the main high pressure pump and the nissan dealer seems to think these main pumps give hardly any problems. The car runs at low revs although very sluggish but when you put your foot down it just bogs down. Has anybody had anything similar happen.? I don't want the mechanic to replace the main pump if it could be the pump in the tank or another problem. Any help with this will be greatly appreciated
