  1. changing the brake booster setup would take you a week non stop working on it to get it all working properly! head aches plus!! modifying the plenum would take about 3 hours at the most, less headaches and it wouldn't effect the power at all, you choose which way you wana go with it..
  2. try e-bay, i was on there earlier tonight and saw some turbo flanges and that sorta stuff for a pretty cheap price, downfall is they were in the U.S.A, but they ship to australia. the bid was at like $20 U.S dollars.. i searched for rb20det and they came up. goodluck
  3. start with the cheap things, eliminate them first. i would try a wheel alignment first.
  4. i guess it just comes down to personel preference in the end?? it wont really make alot of difference where you hook it up, just do it in the most convenient place, away from heat sources (exhaust) to protect the hose. try make the hose as short as possible so your guage respondes quicker.
  5. hey mate, i would install it as close to the plenum as possible so you know exactly what boost the engine it getting after the boost drop has occurred in the plumbing, there wont be alot of boost drop though unles you have a leak. i think it's just better to know what the motor is getting??
  6. i dont think spraying water around your exhaust when its hot would damage it to the extent of not being able to make boost (at the most it would only crack the exhaust manifold), my money is on an electrical problem because it has water in it. try unplugging a few things that may have gotten wet and spray them with rp7 to get the water out, but i would think that even with electrical problems it should still make some boost so as boosted_rb26 said check all your plumbing connections, the degreaser may have helped a hose slip off! perhaps!
  7. thanks guys, i think im gunna put the detroit locker in it, just have to find some axles then i'l be on the way, why not put the best in it straight away then forget about the diff? i wont mind about the noise as long as the wheels keep going around! cheers Josh
  8. hey, Im getting a new diff center in my car, i'v gotto change ratio to 3.9:1 and i didn't want to use the same crappy single spinner center. it's going to be $680 for gears (pinion & crown wheel) and i wont get any change out of $1500 to change to an LSD. so i was thinking about going to a detroit locker as they can stand about 600 horse's, wont wear out and unlock around the corners. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with these diffs and roughly how much it cost them?? Cheers Josh

  10. i pulled out of my driveway one day after work, going up to my g/f place, a cop drove past just before i pulled out, so i follow him down the road (sitting way back from him) turn onto the highway, drive down the road about 500 meters, they pulled over, i kept going past not speeding but not going obviosly slow. next thing he turns on the lights comes chasing after me down the road, pulled me up started checking over the car, checked the rego, checked me licence, quised me about where i was going, and asked me where i was coming from (when he just watched me pull out of the house with the address that was writen on the licence he just checked). in the end let me go. waste of time and a pain in the arse. in the meantime peoples cars n houses are always getting broken into but they still hassle us doing nothing wrong.. im over it..
  11. why dont you just make up a stencil with cardbourd instead of making the plate straight away?? and remember you can always cut it down, not real easy to put it back on though.
  12. the best stuff to spray on the rusted corroded bolts is, 'rost off plus' it's made by worth, im a truck mechanic and we have found it's the best thing for turbo and exhaust manifold bolts. it's not cheap but quality comes at a price.. cos dont we all hate drilling out broken bolts.
  13. i hate skanky chicks that drive around in their ford festivas with the HUGE playboy bunny on the back window while crankin their standard stereo, all distorted out, all windows down, thinking that they are something hot. i also hate the geeeks that think sticking cheap load mufflers on their lancers, and putting blitz and ggreedy stickers down their doors will make everyone think their car is a turbocharged weapon... if anyone would like to see the best of these cars then take a drive to shepparton.... enough said.
