Ok to stop stuffing round i just went with marshall batteries who we deal with through my work. the guy was helpful and we matched one up to my old battery with the smaller 10mm terminals that the gtr has. this is the battery specs i got Model : Marshall premium X60CP CCA: 370 40AMP HOURS 70 minutes reserve capacity. this should be efficient enough for the replacement in the gtr. these batteries are made in australia by exide technologies. this might help anybody who is looking in the future for info. cheers Darren

thanks mate. wha type of batteries do others have in there R33 GTR? just out of interest and does anybody know what CCA is needed to start a RB26DETT? what is reccomended by nissan

Hey guys i have a flat battery in my R33 gtr, and for those of you in the know its in the rear and you dont have alot of room like the R33 gtst to get it in and out because of the extra rear chassis brace in the boot. I have been looking into batteries that are a bit lighter and better for motorsports use etc i.e odyessy, XSpower but the problem i have is i dont really want to have to change terminals just to suit these batteries, is there any batteries out there on the market that will easily slot into the stock position in the gtr and have the right terminals to suit. If any one knows and can point me in the right direction that would be great Cheers Daz

SO, Is any one attending jamboree this year? anybody racing or show n shine, or spectating? il be an onlooker again. should be wicked fun some nice cars attending this year aswell.

My mate is hopefully getting his car there this year after a long 8 year build. his still isnt fully ready either so we got all fingers and toes crossed for everybody trying to get there cars there to race on time i will be there spectating as usual, one year il get to racing, once i get the car to where i want it to be. only had this car just over 12 months. these things take time i guess.

Im not sure but i dont think that there would be much difference between the reo bars in gtst and gtr, just the position of the fmic. this kit is awesome, i can vouch for it as i used to own the car it came from. well looked after. all i had to do was trim a tiny amount from the reo then it sat flush, and everything else bolted straight up to where stock bolt holes go. its a well made japanese kit, no stuffing about, and definately no cop attention for having cut holes in your engine bay, this was the reason i decided to pay a bit extra and get a better kit. i also had stock front bar on gtst and it sat hidden behind that fine.

Is there any sensors behind the steering wheel area that relay steering angle to sensors on the rack or hicas? or if any of the plugs u have show in this thread arent plugged in what would happen? Cheers Daz
