  1. I believe the fastest rb30 in oz is vlgod and it's actually twin cam as far as I'm aware
  2. Thanks for the feedback guys, I'll make a call to npc tomorrow and see what they say, as far as strengthening components what are my options if I want to keep it h pattern ? 2 or 3 speeds auto is completely out of the question and I haven't got 20k to spend on a sequential
  3. rb25det gearbox on rb30det - Hi guys, my r33 that my brother and I converted to rb30det was tuned over the weekend and we installed a heavy duty organic clutch hoping to have that as the weak point to not put so much strain on the driveline and it's getting bent over anywhere above about 420bhp so basically were going to take it out and install the triple plate I've got for it but I'm concerned having a direct clutch how much power the gearbox and diff (both in good nick but both standard) are going to be able to stand up against. Ive been told the gearbox is the weak point and will break sooner rather than later once you get over 400-450bhp area especially with the triple plate clutch so if anyone could clarify or correct that I would appreciate it. It will mostly be a street/weekend car but it will definitely see the drag strip a few times and maybe Wakefield so if I go with the triple plate how far can I turn it up before I'm going to break everything behind it? Anyone have any alternatives? Car made 424hp on wastegate pressure before the clutch started slipping
  4. Hey guys, my 33 is getting very close to being finished and put on the dyno and before it gets there im curious as to what sort of power you guys would expect the setup to make. The motor is a fully forged 26/30 that has extensive head work and other bits under the bonnet are: garrett gtw 3884 67mm 0.82 rear 6 boost manifold 50mm turbo smart waste gate 2000cc injectors on a race works fuel rail Adjustable cam gears on stock 26 cams koyorad 53mm core radiator cooling pro bar and plate intercooler 600x300x76mm with 3 inch outlets etc etc etc just curious what sort of power this thing should make on pump 98? It's also got a manual box and Going to be run by a haltech platinum pro
  5. Sorry the low comp engine is going to be rebuilt just saying I've purchased a motor to build. My skyline currently has 250rwkw from stock internals t3/t4 turbo from previous owner been told by a mechanic it's actually off a truck it makes good power but a little laggy.ive bought a atr43sat 76mm turbo with .63 rear with the built motor on flex fuel I'm hoping to see a lot more response and power so I'm gonna need the brakes. Thanks for the reference to the other pages guys
  6. R33 gtst brake upgrade Hi guys, First post on SAU so try and be patient if I'm not asking quite the right stuff. I'm about to start building a low comp rb25det (cyl 6 is gone) I've just bought and before all that extra power happens I'm needing to upgrade the brakes so what brake setups have gtst owners gone with? I'm targeting 420-500whp and I'd prefer to have too much stopping power than not enough. And whilst I'm here what other safety mods should I be doing going for that power? Thank you all in advance,
