  1. hmm..im after those that you have to wash yourself ..as in like you put in a dollar and gives you whatever 60 seconds of the soapy brush or high pressure rinse etc..

not the touchless ones attached to servo's

yeah one at greenslopes is self serve or self wash

  2. There's one on the south side on logan road in the greenslopes area i think. Haven't been past that way for 6 months though, not sure if it's still in business.

Yeah thats still there just up from greenslopes shopping center opp' birdwood st, I forgot all about that one

  3. does anybody know where theres a diy coin op car wash joint around spring hill/valley/new farm area?..

kinda new to this area and never noticed any while driving..my car needs a wash badly..

There is a good high pressure touch-less auto wash at the BP on the top end of corro drive just past Toowong shopping center, take me car in it all the time works a treat not cheap @$18 for the top wash

  4. Aaron, i think you'll find that when Mike is referring to a "Blue Plate", it is the same thing your talking about, a mod plate. most people will call them blue plates because they are just that, a blue coloured modification approved plate. it looks like you've got everything sorted, only thing i can think of is maybe look into CTP insurance. i don't know if its all done at the transport department or if you have to get CTP first, then register the car.

yeah sorry, josh is right the mod plate is what i call the blue plate and yeah u need to go get the ctp sorted before going to DOT's so u don't need a day pass to take the car from the mechanics to the DOT's center + that way u can pick who u want ctp to be with

  5. whats the engineers slip? and no change of transmission.

just the slip u get when u have the blue plate done, its so DOT'S know who the person is and there inspection/engineers station number

  6. just wondering what documentation i need to register my r32 in about a months time after i get a 1jz put in. i bought the car as a rolling shell (no engine, no diff, had been out of rego for a while).

this is what i think i need:

    -rwc

    -completed rego form

-hand written receipt from the guy i bought it off (has vin number on it)

engine will be mod plated etc. is there anything else that i may need in this situation?

    cheers

yeah thats about it just need your engineers slip (aswell as the above) for the motor and if you have changed it from auto to manual that will also need to be mod plated.

  7. look closesly the steering wheel is on the front half of the car, if it was just a cut and weld job surely the firewall would sill be intact?

lol check out the gear box tunnel clean break not even one spot weld tore as for the fire wall look to the left of the dog chain the silver bit top to bottom is the fire wall, if its done thats where is will be done & can = rebirth or wreck repair 2 cars to make one

  8. wow the way that cars split, lookin at those pics, i'd be thinking it was cut n shut before. doesn't look like it was a huge hit, yet the car's in two.

Yeha I am with you there funky look at the right side inner guard area it looks like a clean cut not a tear...

  9. Ok mechanic came out this morning and did a few test with the spark and the injectors and in the process blew his test light.

Told me its the coil pack.

So i go and buy a coil pack which was $110 which isnt to bad.

Fitted the coil pack and its still f**ked. Not happy, he will be coming back for round two shortly.

It is now looking like the MSD DIS 4 pack or the microtech, i hope not then its getting into the $$$$$$$$$$$$.

James check the coil pack plugs make sure there clean use a little screw driver & scrap the metal pins & try again, also as some one has said check the plate the packs mount to make sure where the coil packs bolt to is clean, thats the earth point. Also check you igniter plugs ( for ser1 )on the back of the coil pack engine cover.

  10. ZOMG hey Mikey :D

I just called Tempe Tyres in Sydney and arranged it over the phone (I used to always get my tyres there when I lived in Sydney). Courier costs were $10 per tyre. I saved over $500 on the cost of the tyres by buying 1000 kays away. Best price in Brisbane was $320 per tyre. I got Bob Jane Toombul to fit/balance/align for $100 or something.

hey Kaz :) been a LONG LONG TIME :D we really need to get together soon
