  1. Just a follow up, the lower arms are different slightly, and the ‘nose’ of the diff sits in another type of carrier - different to the gtr/gts4 cradle. I will make 16mm aluminium spacers to fit the rear cradle into the car which will sit under the offset bushes. Im yet to cross the hurdle of mounting the attessa pump and ancillary parts
  2. Hello all, I picked up a R33 rear subframe for my R32 GTS4 and was going to fit it to obtain wider track, better anti squat etc. What is the best way to mount the frame? Fit the offset aluminium bushes from the top down or from the bottom up? If they are fitted from the top down I'd have to get some sort of spacer to make up the difference as the 'pegs' that the frame mounts over dont have enough thread. I'm concerned that it may alter the geometry negatively if its mounted flush to the chassis rails not only will it be hard to mount the ATesa pumps etc. Has anyone done this? Or is it worth just changing the bushes in the standard frame..
  3. Ok, let me just clarify, its an R32 GTst. All I'm asking for is someone who has a GTR or has cut the bonnet to put some measurements up.
  4. Thanks for the replies so far. However, I don't have the funds to purchase a GTR bonnet. I've seen threads on here and else where that its been done but unfortunately no measurements.
  5. Hello all, Can someone who has a GTR or has cut their GTst bonnet to look like GTR bonnet supply me with some measurements please so I know where to cut. I have access to a laser and stuff to line it all up. What i mean is put a laser across the bonnet and then take measurements from there - or a common measurement on both bonnets. Thanks,
  6. Hello all, I'm currently in the process of getting parts together to fit to my car ready for fitting and alignment. I have some thoughts as the best setup for track, time attack, sprints etc but want to confirm i'm going about it the right way. The parts I'll get: R33 rear cradle - with offset bushes and possibly a reinforcing kit GKTech front upper control arms for camber adjustment Whiteline front and rear anti roll bars I was going to modify the front upper control mounts to be the same as the nismo items - to gain hopefully even better front geometry when combined with adjustable upper arms. Adjustable rear upper arms to change rear camber Any thoughts on fitting front R33 lower control arms or should i think about roll centre adjusters for the standard arms? I have the usual front and rear strut braces, coilovers etc. big brakes being fitted shortly. At this stage i'm avoiding fitting a cage but might in the future - however I may fit a A piller brace set from ultraracing.. The mods listed are inspired from SAU and other sites on the web. I'd like to have the car setup as well as possible from the get go and then just tweek from there. Thanks
  7. Thanks for the replies. I'll get on it then, neo stagea engine with loom and ecu and then get said ecu nistuned. Now I have a starting point, it should be easier to go shopping.. funds depending.
  8. Does the ecu talk to the abs then, I'm guessing there is an abs 'brain' somewhere? I was under the impression that the speed sensors for the abs were tied into the attesa ecu along with the g sensor under the centre console. Its look like a bit of a headache to use the neo engine. Perhaps the image of the neo ecu could be copied to the rb20 ecu - is nistune that advanced. What about an earlier Rb25det from a stagea, are these suitably strong enough for further tuning. I was biased toward the neo engine as I believed it would be more capable of taking the tuning. Again, thanks to all contributors, it's good to hear feedback.
  9. Good to know, what are dtc's and the car has abs - but I'm guessing it's not the correct abs for the neo ECU
  10. Thanks for the replies. I searched about last night and found a guide on putting in the non neo rb25 into an R32 Gtst. Is it similar wiring? By the looks of it, it may pay me to keep with the Neo ecu and get that Nistuned later on. Ive seen a few front cuts for sale, but in all honesty, I don't want to have to pull and engine out of a front cut - I'd prefer to just get the engine, turbo and loom to the ecu.
  11. RB25DET in GTS4 R32 conversion Hello all, As you can tell I'm new to this forum but have used it as a reference for many years and value the opinion and experience of the posters. I have recently purchased an R32 GTS4 and I'd like to swap the engine from a Stagea RB25DET Neo. I have read lots of posts on here and I've saved the pages so I should be able to get over some of the wiring issues. The mechanical side seems long and tedious and messy but as far as I can tell, reasonably straight forward. I have a few questions though: Which ECU would suit the engine best, I've heard people favouring the RB20 ecu because it can be Nistune'd, Im thinking further down the line I will do this but I'm tempted to just use the ecu that comes with the engine? Are there any things to be aware of when doing this conversion, for example different years having different ecu pin outs etc? Would it be quicker to install an earlier RB25DET (non Neo) to save some headaches later? - Is it an easier/quicker conversion? I believe (don't quote me) that the full wiring and induction manifold and ecu can be used on the NEO engine, with some minor adjustments to fuel rails and idle control module (IACV) Is this more or less correct? I have recently restored an american muscle car and carried out a build log, I can start one for this car and upload it once completed as a guide or how to, if that suits or is required. Thanks in advance for any guidance.
