  1. I will get that ASAP! I'm curious, does the output shaft sleeve look stock on the picture I uploaded? Does anyone happen to know what the stock length is supposed to be of the output shaft sleeve on a r33 gtr trans? Another thing is too, the clutch fork is actually hitting the pressure plate when we have everything almost back together, there would never be enough room for the release bearing to slide on the shaft.
  2. Well that's good to hear at least..I must be doing something wrong. *head scratch*
  3. Good afternoon gents, (here in Canada its afternoon anyways), I've got a bit of an interesting situation involving my Exedy Hyper Carbon Twin Disc install on my GTR R33. I made a thread a few days back trying my best to explain the situation but I guess its so rare no one really has any answers, so I figured Id start by trying to identify parts as to what they ACTUALLY are, vs what I THINK they are. I will upload some pictures, and as much info as I have about the objects. Thanks for reading. My clutch fork. Reason for posting this is because Im wondering if this is the reason I can't install my clutch? After I have everything bolted on,(i.e. flywheel, discs,) and I move to sliding the trans back together with the motor, what happens is the output shaft or the sleeve on it or whatever, it will come in contact with the clutch center hub( the piece with splines, it separates the two carbon clutch discs), and it looks like the clutch fork has no room to slide the throwout bearing on the shaft, if that makes sense. There is about 5/8th of an inch between the engine and trans when things start hitting each other.
  4. Oh yeah that much Ive done, it's just the fact that the output shaft coming out of the trans, it slides into the splines on the clutch just fine, but it hits that mid plate thats between the two clutch discs, and the clutch fork is also hitting something, done so much research and apparently no one knows whats happening lol
  5. Im not sure, how does one align a twin disc properly?
  6. Exedy Twin Disc Install/Help I just recently purchased an Exedy Twin Disc clutch for my GTR R33 (RB26), and I'm currently in the process of installing it. However, after pulling the tranny, ran into a bit of a problem. The transmission and engine won't mate back together because the fork(pull type) and the output shaft sleeve on the transmission won't let it slip all the way back together( there is about 3/4 inch gap between trans and engine). I was told something about machining the sleeve down a bit, however my local car shop that deals quite a bit with JDM cars, they said it should just bolt right up. At this point I would love some help from the experts here, any ideas on what to do, or has anyone else run into a similar problem? If any more information about the car or clutch is required, just say so, first post here! Car is a 1996 Nissan Skyline GT-R R33 VSpec, clutch is an Exedy Carbon Twin Disc with a lightweight flywheel. Thanks for reading!
