R34 Front End Conversion to R32 I'm in the process of doing a R34 front conversion to a R32. I'm aware that they have a kit for this conversion but I'm not a fan on the style it has and not sure if you can swap parts around so I decided to just use OEM parts for now until I can find parts locally for an R34. I've been searching local for a better bumper but this will have to work for now. I was lucky to find someone local that sold me the front end with the radiator support. My R32 Front radiator support is not in the best condition so I decided to use the complete R34. You can probably get away with cutting a larger hole into the R32 headlight pocket and use the r34 upper radiator support for better headlight alignment. I'll attach photos as progress happens. So far I drilled out the R24 support and the R32. Swapped it over and tested everything out. Nothing fully mounted. I didn't like the wheel gapping so I chopped 2 inches off the R32 front aprons to allow 2 inches for the front to fall in for the gapping. I will have time tomorrow to retest fit everything to see if I'm happy with the wheel gaping.

Help with changing to braided lines for coolant Hey Guys, I attached a photo below. I am in the process of changing over the lines to braided. I tried removing this line but I'm not having much luck. There is an adapter for sale that changes hardlines to braided lines I'm aware off. I wanted to see if it I can just cut the hard line, insert an automotive hose with a clamp and push in the braided hose adapter with a clamp. Does anyone know how much pressure is going through the hose? Is this an alternative method? From what I read the fitting for hard line to an adapter is -6 AN. Is that correct? Any tips appreciated! Thanks!

thanks for the tips! I'll be running all braided lines for the HKS. I did some reading about hypergear and it sounds like a route I should've considered before buying these other turbos.

New to SAU and New to turbo Hey everyone, I have owned my R32 for 5 months and only truly had it running well for a few weeks. Its a RB20 with RB25 turbo. Also this is my first turbo engine I've ever owned and worked on. So far I've learned a lot. First week the turbo started to whistle. After removing the turbo I found the fins broke. Next week the ignition control module gave out and I went and did the z32 conversion also took the opportunity to change the ignition coils, plugs and pigtails This time the turbo went out again. I heard it something broke and lost all boost. The shaft itself broke clean. I have read that these ceramic breaks and its common. But I am wondering if the shaft breaking is common as well. Right before it broke, there was no heavy boosting. I was pushing about 5psi every shift just letting it whistle... Next turbo going in is the HKS GARRETT GT2530. I would like to make sure that the shaft breaking is a common problem or was it because of lack of oil. When I removed the oil bolt on the turbo the fluid looked consistent. Nothing alarming to where it looked dry. Any tips appreciated! I also attached a photo of the broken shaft.
