and yes, I forgot to add, the car is vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv thirsty, Im so surprised! It drinks more petrol than the r34 even though its only a 1.3~~!!!! I dun mind if its drinking under high revs. BUt I keep the car so slow, and its still drinking!!!

Hi bro, the rx8 is slow ass compared to the r34. r34 has the bullet slingshot effect when the turbo kicks in. rx8 acceleration is very linear. Makes me surprise that wheel magazine managed a 0-100 time of 6.5 or somrthing in a stock rx8. Also rx8 can rev up to 9Krpm quite comfortably. The power of the rx8 is in the 8K rpm and beyond range. At low revs, a corolla would own it! Handling wise, rx8 feels more balanced and the car makes taking corners at high speed vv easy (you think you are going much slower) Apparently, you can turbo an rx8, and even make it a tri-rotary. theres been a small handful of ppl in Au and quite a lot of ppl in US that have done that. CHECK OUT THIS VIDEO. THis is a turbocharged 3 rotary rx8 (stock is just 2 rotary) made by petit racing in the USA. I think the laws in SA are abit too strict. SAPOL wouldnt like it if i turboed an NA car. I mean, they are giving turbo car drivers shit (look at skylines) for mucking ard with their turbos.' haha

I finally got around to selling my r34gtt Now the proud owner of my 2006 mazda rx8 6 speed manual. Colour is winning blue. 1.3 L Renesis multiside port engine 100% stock Bought it off Australian motors as used demo. Good price too I've always owned and driven skylines Even though it may not be a skyline, its still a nice jap car Im thinking of changing the wheels to either gold rims or black rims with chrome lip. What do you guys think is better?

How do you guys find the DSG transmission in the Audi/VWs? I have never driven one before. Also, if I were to sell the evo in future, which would sell better? DSG or 5spd manual?

Hi guys, Thank you all for voting in my previous thread on selecting the right car. I have made up my mind on the Evo 10. Initially, I would have wanted a manual. However, my parents want me to get the semi-auto. They think its better to drive and will have better resale value. If you were getting the evo x, which transmission would you get? I just called mitsubishi and they have confirmed the price for the evo 10. Only 3 variants will be available, GSR 5 speed ($59000), GSR semi-auto (64000), MR semi-auto (74000). Cars will be ready around april 2008. So now, I have to choose manual or semi-auto. Thanks for the input guys!

LOL...YES...daddy paid my uni bills too LOL...jk Yeah...350z will be my no.1 choice handsdown if it wasn't a 2 seater. Was just on the mazda website and the rx8 seems to have quite a lot more features than evo 9...eg. leather seats, 9 speaker Bose sound system, Xenon headlights. But evo definitely more torque and power.

The alfa brera looks hot! Never knew about it till today... Just curious, I was looking at some pictures. The evo 7, 8 and 9 look almost exactly the same, body wise!

Hi guys, As a reward for graduating as a dentist in 2007, my father has offered to buy me a new car under 70K. The catch is that it has to be a brand new car from the showroom. My dad is sick of seeing me mess around with second hand imports, including my current r34 Gtt. I really like the new evo X, but i think its abit out of my budget and I don't want to wait too long to get my new car. The BMW 323i coupe is nice as well, but its a bit out of my budget too. I don't mind a newer model wrx sti (2008 model) but I think its ugly. An r34 gtr would be sweet, but then, it has to be new. $350??? Hmmm...I was expecting it to cost a bit more. Also, I rang a round for a few wreckers asking for the door handle and surround. No one wants to sell it to me!!!!! wth! They are not willing to seperate...they want me to buy the whole new door!!!???!!!! Any advice guys? I dun want the door. Also, another guy said that if the rubber piece was available, they would sell it for $65. Are these correct? Or is anyone wrecking a r34 drivers door and is willing to split the door up? Cheers Dan

Hi Guys, Just thought I better let you guys know! My 34 was parked in the gouger street (china town) multi story car park just 2 nights ago. Went down for dinner with my gf and housemate. Guess what? WHen I returned to my car, I found my door handle surround damaged. Some tool had tried to shove a screwdriver or similar in between my door and handle surround! Damaged my bloody door and rubber surround! I believe this was the exact same manner how the previous 2 33s in adel (one of them belonging to Deluxe...I think) were damaged. Lucky the bloody crook was so amateurish, he couldnt even get in....and if he did, my pager alarm will send me coming over with a golf club. None the least, it pisses me off! Right in a multistory public car park! You guys take care of your rides....lets not give these c**t faces a chance! Dan

HI guys , I have a single din gauge holder from Blitz. It can hold 3 gauges. The gauge holes can be removed as necessary or kept in place if you use less than 3 gauges. Its just like in a r33 gtr. Don't ask what size gauge they fit bcos I don't know anything about gauges (just know they will fit 1 din gauges perfectly) :S I don't know what its worth. so make an offer I also have a r33 stock s1 ecu manual for sale (if anyone wants it) $100? (or make an offer) Im in adelaide
