  1. Excuse you sir, Philips 4000K LEDs look just fine on my R32, although I do have HID projectors with OE Philips D2S bulbs. Although they are quite expensive (~$25 a pair for T10) so not worth it unless they're on sale. The issue of firing pattern has been brought up, so better to stick to standard incandescent bulbs. I only have the parkers and interior lights in LED.
  2. Unless you're after the noise and possible defect, spend the money elsewhere. Nothing wrong with standard airbox unless the turbo is trying to suck in 2 bar of air.
  3. Welcome. There's the wagon and V-series sections with lots of info, so feel free to have a browse and ask questions if you can't find what you're after.
  4. I've been forced onto a Macbook at work, because my boss is a fanboy. I miss paint.net As for Android, a quick search will lead to 'Snapseed'.
  5. Damn this is exactly what I want, but alas no money ?
  6. Those engines are too mainstream, get something a bit more exciting: Hartley V12 (based on the Toyota V12)
  7. Any reason you need RB26? Or just want it? They have the GT-R tax applied to it.
  8. R32 GT-R jumped in price because of USA. It became eligible to import so once the 1989 cars became available, the auction prices in Japan dramatically jumped. That cascaded through to us here in Aus, as all the R32 GT-R perceived values went up. I'm just glad I got mine for $15k years ago.
  9. Ouch, looks like you have a high mileage flogged car, hope you didn't pay much for it. You can replace all those bushes (you should, it's a safety hazard and not roadworthy), but you will have to spend quite a bit of money (think $1k+).
  10. Welcome. What cars do you have?
  11. Anyone tried Valino? I know it's a "drift" tyre but 160 treadwear rating...
  12. I found that it doesn't matter how many years of experience you have, if you've only worked on standard runabout cars all your life, you don't know how to set up adjustable arms. I've spends hundreds on "professionals" to set up my car, only for them to fk up my alignments. I did a better job on my driveway with my eyeballs, 0 years experience but did a better job than someone with an alignment machine.
  13. Barra, the engine that toppled the king of Aussie 6's... the Holden 202 bluey
  14. To be honest, the body is the hardest and most expensive to fix. The mechanical stuff you can replace/repair (would need maintenance and repair eventually anyway). I would start saving for tools and trying to do work on it (if you have the space/garage/shed), paying for others to fix it will get expensive. This could be a long project for you, and you'll end up with an awesome car in the end.
  15. front: 8-8.5" + low 30's with 235-245 wide tyres rear: 9-9.5" + high 30's with 255-265 wide tyres
  16. Don't *need* Japanese wheels
  17. On the upside, it has factory xenon lights (D2R low beam bulb)
  18. Great stuff. Since the R32s (and similar vintage cars) are getting old, the electronics will start to fail. Good market to be in to supply replacements like g-sensors.
  19. This applies to 90% of "workshops" out there.
  20. Yep agree. Which is why it's hard to go past the factory GT-R style kit.
  21. I wish my "rails" were that straight.
  22. Because it went off topic. Imagine how bad it is on Bookface I wouldn't be discouraged by the posts, my first car was an R31 Skyline, automatic with a noisy diff. It's a good, cheap starter car, good way to learn how to fix your car, without all the associated complexities of a turbocharged engine. Can also learn how to drive properly without wrapping yourself around a pole/tree that easily. Sound is easy, chop the rear (or middle) muffler out. But it's just noise. I'd invest the money into brake pads, better tyres, refresh suspension, change fluids etc. Get it reliable and running right, then hit the skid pans and track days.
  23. I filled up for $1.65/L (98 RON), bargain!
  24. If you can't afford to run it on 98 RON, sell it and buy something more economical. I run my daily on 98 (turbo Subaru), times are tough but if you want to drive something that run on 98, too bad. I'm considering getting a Leaf in a few years' time.
  25. Unregistered but located in SA?
