  1. I have 18x9 +28 all around. 235/40 and 255/35. I’ve got 18x9.5 +22 ready to go on the rear. I don’t think i’ll have an issue. This is how the 18x9 +28 fits on the back right now(excuse my bro lol)
  2. It’s definitely more from the exhaust side. VCT is intake side. I’ll pull the cover off and have another look. I thought the shims sat inside the bucket under neath. So I was just grabbing the buckets trying to wiggle them by hand. They all seemed tight. Hmm. Thanks for the info. I’m gonna grab a stethescope and have another listen around. The car runs good. Its just the noise that’s concerning.
  3. My goal was to drive it until it grenaded but here we are several thousand km, and many redlines later. And it doesnt skip a beat lol It hasn’t gotten worse and the car still makes full power. I honestly have no idea what the noise is. It’s only noisey at idle and approx. 2000rpm. 1000-1900 or anything higher than 2000 and it sounds fine.
  4. I think mine is either missing the shim completely, or something is way more wrong than just the clearence haha I pulled the cam covers off and nothing looks out of place. It’s been noisey like this since I bought the car 3 years ago. Hasn’t blown up yet so it cant be that serious lol IMG_4040.MOV
  5. I cant find any indications spring rates. i’ve contacted the supplier for info. They were supposed to be 9kg/7kg. They have 32 damper settings, adjustable spring pre-load and adjustable height. Im sure they’ll be fine. Unless they’re 12/12 or something crazy haha
  6. I just ordered some coilovers for my GTT. They sent me GTR ones. I’ll be finding out for certain if GTR coilovers will fit on a GTT
  7. Hey just updating for anyone that might have the same issue. Mine ended up being the CAS. It eventually got bad enough the car wouldnt even run so I substituted a friends CAS and it runs perfectly
  8. I’ve decided I rather run more tire and less offset. I’d like ro run 235/40 up front and 255-265/35 rear. Trying to decide if I wanna try to make 18x9.5 +22 square fit or go the safe route and do 18x8.5 +30 front and 18x9.5 +35 rear. Edit: unfortunately the wheels I have picked out dont have a 18x9 option or I would opt for that for the front Any advice? I’d like to avoid poke if I could. I know 235/40 on 9.5 will stretcn a bit but it’s not too over the top. My car also has GTR brembo’s so I gotta make sure everything clears lol
  9. So small update on mine. Yesterday it started misfiring while idling. I narrowed it to cyl. 5. Swapped coils and it stayed missing on cyl. 5. The plot thickens!
  10. Could be fuel related. But it seems odd that it would be fine (did a 7krpm pull) without issue when it was just below its normal operating temp on the gauge(I know, I know, just wanted to test). i also find if I sit in traffic for a while on a hot day, the rpm at which it starts acting up drops significantly. Like the one day I was in stop and go and it was doing it at around 3000rpm. Almost like something is getting heaksoaked. It feels like weak soark/coils but i’ve tried two sets of coils and plugs lol
  11. It seems fine in all weather until it gets to operating temp. Even once warm it still idles and drives fine. It’s just when I try to put any power down above 4k rpm it sputters and pops like crazy. It’s frustrating not being able to use the fun half of the rev range haha Edit: It also does it if I bring the revs up slowly, and does it in neutral. Boost is good until 4k. Then it obviously starts dropping as the engine starts to misfire. I tried pushing to redline the one time and it just wouldnt make it past 5500. The cloud of smoke behind the car was rediculous haha so its getting fuel. It holds max boost until it starts to misfire so I can only assume its not a boost issue(maybe i’m wrong?). i dunno. Cars....
  12. Hey man, nope still doing it lol coils, plugs, maf all good. Gonna go towards crank sensor and timing next
  13. The wheels have 215/35 and 225/35 on them. I’m ok to roll fenders but if it’s gonna be sticking way too far out i’d rather not waste the money. thanks for the advice guys. Maybe i’ll try and find 18x9.5 +22 and run staggered tires
  14. I’m gonna be picking up a used set of 19x9.5 +22 and 19x10.5 +22 for my GTT. GTR look bodykit from eastbear but stock fenders and quarters. Stock ride height for now. Wish me luck lol
  15. I know that was my first thought too thats why the first thing I did was buy some yellowjacket coils and an OEM harness(had them on my R32 and they worked great). But it didnt make a difference
