  1. hey mate have been on holiday so haven't really gotten anywhere on the situation yet , going to leave it til when I get back, if you sort the problem before me could ya share the solution , best of luck , cheers
  2. hey mate , nah she was screwed in , checked my black one and it didn't have it so I've pulled it out, was hooked up to horn, and aerial control switch , and also tapped into a couple of fuses behind the fuse box, have removed it and seem to not have any issues so far
  3. So I found a blown tube fuse under the dash , hooked the wires together and heard sizzling so I disconnected it before finding out what it does, do I just pull the wiring and leave this box out or what ? I don't know what it does and these wires lead to under the centre console and behind the fuse box which mean hell of a mission to pull out all the wiring , I pulled back blue tape in first photo and found these switches, any ideas?? Car is not turbo
  4. cheers yeah I'll probably start one tomorrow when I get the time, was nothing short of a wreck when I got it , was actually too embarrassed to take photos [emoji1787]
  5. yeah everything looks to be in good working order in the door, unless it's been cut in the cabin, I'll have a look tomorrow
  6. Didn't watch any of the videos? yeah they've got one and yeah I've got keyless entry. No it's not broken.
  7. Mind the spastic tacho but got these blue ones off Wish for a few bucks, they don't all seem to work or maybe they just mind which way round they are but they just slot in where your old bulbs come out and there's enough in the pack to do your whole dash twice so just test em before ya go bolting your dash back together [emoji108]
  8. Cheers mate (: Leaving the black one close to stock maybe adjustables and different rims but that'll do for a daily The silver one is currently a wide open project so I'm in the process of fixing a small problem and making it completely keyless with the use of rfid tags as security, on the hunt for a decent set of rims and also ordering some cop lights and sirens for it, maybe a couple gauges , then when the time comes either flick it or 25det convert it (:
  9. Here's the link to video of what I mean , the pink bit moving in and out is connected to a push rod for the locking side of things, works fine in passenger side but shows no activity on drivers side..
  10. where the plug goes into is what I believe to be an actuator? Seems to have 2 wires that switch between 12volt current for whichever state (locked/unlocked) and then two other 'signal?' wires that emit 0.1 volts between each state too, I'll upload a video to youtube and put the link here
  11. Hi ! Still pretty fresh to the forums but I've got an issue in my series 2 skyline sedan. I've hooked up a keyless entry unit and tapped into the signal wires on the smart entry box located under the steering column. The fob works and sends signal to lock and unlock all the doors , that's all good and well, but the problem is the drivers door doesn't respond. I can use the key on the drivers door and it'll lock/unlock all the doors including the drivers one but when I use the switch by all the window switches etc to lock and unlock the doors it works on every door except the drivers one. When I lock and unlock the door from the handle on the inside it'll lock and unlock all the other doors. I have tested the unit on the passenger side and have confirmed it's working. I have tried running power to it manually and no dice, becoming a bit of a headache and really dont want to run an aftermarket actuator when I know there's nothing wrong with the factory one. Sorry for the long read, if ya need any more info I'll reply as soon as I can. Hoping someone else has had this problem and I've just missed something stupid, cheers (:
