Apexi Power FC neo fit a s2 r33 RB25det?
OllieR replied to OllieR's topic in RB Series - R31, R32, R33, R34 (1986-2002)
Thanks for the info guys. link would be awesome, just need to convince myself to spend the money on it. -
Hi all, What’s the difference between the Neo and Non-Neo Apexi Power FC for the RB25DET? They don’t come up second hand for the RB25DET very often in the UK, Loads for the RB26DET. a NEO RB25DET one has popped up on eBay and I wondered if it can be fitted and/or modified for my R33 s2? cheers, Ollie

Cam cover to intake breather hose restrictor?
OllieR replied to OllieR's topic in Forced Induction Performance
I found it by chance when I cut the hose in half to join into it. Will take a photo tomorrow. -
Hi all, done some searching hoping for a quick answer on this, There is a metal restrictor in the hose from the cam cover breather to the intake pipe between AFM and Turbo, should this be removed when installing an Oil Catch Can in this line I.e using plumb-back method. thanks, Ollie

I think is a 2.5 bar regulator, well that what is on it PR / 2.5B I’m guessing that’s pressure regulator 2.5 Bar? Isn't the standard FPR 2.5bar or 36psi? wonder why it’s been changed? -

Sorry guys! Took some more photos this morning. looks like a standard regulator (the small one) then some kind of Webber regulator before lines into the fuel rail (adaptor on the fuel rail?) anyone seen this before? thanks! O -
Doesn’t seem quite as bad now, maybe a 1psi increase at high rpm, still under 10 psi so safe. I did feel a flat spot at 65000 rpm in 3rd though. not sure what fuel pump I’m running, it’s noisey when it primes! Its it more likely fuel related? Possibly ignition, plugs and coils or standard ecu struggling?

Turbosmart manual boost tee locked?
OllieR replied to JackieTran's topic in RB Series - R31, R32, R33, R34 (1986-2002)
The tuner will have set the boost while mapping and locked it for a reason - so the map doesn’t get screwed up and you blow your engine! If you change to an EBC be sure to set the exact same boost level or preferably get the tuner to do it! -
Agree, it’s a fuelling issue, unburnt fuel + hot exhaust = backfire remap required

Hi guys owned my R33 GTST S1.5 (S2 engine and ecu etc) for 3 years and I have installed a manual Turbosmart Boost Tee along with some other bits (see below) I have disconnected the vac hoses from the standard solenoid, and connected the boost tee inline with a source from the main inlet intercooler hose and the waste-gate actuator and plugged the hose to the return/recirculating pipe as per all good threads on here. It’s boosting at a stable 7 psi, however when I took the car past 5k rpm in 3rd on full throttle, the boost jumped to 10psi and held there all the way to the redline. The same in fourth gear. Why would this happen? I don’t class it as a spike as it is stable and predictable. i don’t have a aftermarket dump pipe etc. Runing the standard ECU. Standard turbo Any advice would be appreciated.
