  5. I had my driver’s seat professionally cleaned but it don’t look any cleaner than what it was. Is this because the fibres are damaged? Or did they just not do a very good job? Look forward to hearing your feedback.
  6. Thank you! If I didn’t want to do it myself, who would I go to for this type of work? I’ve tried windscreen places including o’Brian but no luck.
  7. As you can see, my front lip is not in the best condition. And I’m wondering, if I was going to sell, how much value would respraying the front lip add? I’m considering just applying armorall . What are your thoughts? Also, how misaligned is my front lip and how difficult would it be to get it looking 100%?
  8. And the paint shop supplier had no idea that boot floor paint wouldn’t match that of the exterior paint? Should have done more research I suppose and not relied on them. doesn’t look too bad, does it?

  13. thank you, all. I feel like I can’t just leave it as it is as I’ve already removed some of the sealer etc. just to clarify, are the following steps correct and do I reinstate seam sealer at the very end, after I’ve repainted? 1. Rust deoxidiser 2. Septone 3. Primer 4. Paint
  14. Thank you, all. I wish I could go back in time 😢 I took a photo of the undercarriage and it looks like the boot has rusted all the way through. Is this correct?
  15. I did a bit more cleaning and this is where I’m at now… I’ve concluded that the sealant parts that are discoloured aren’t necessarily rusty 😵‍💫 However, the parts circled red are rusty but I’m finding it difficult to get to them. Especially the only on top and the one next to the rubber seal down the bottom. Any tips on how and where to from here?
  16. I’ve reached a point where I’m beginning to think I should have just left it as it was… so the question is… do I abort mission or keep going? Should I aim to remove all the discoloured spots around sealant also? How long is a piece of string? This is where I’m at now
  17. Will this wire wheel kit do ok? https://www.bunnings.com.au/josco-3-piece-drill-brush-kit_p6111235?store=5228 I’ve removed the carpet lining from the boot. Is there anything else I need to keep in mind so as not to cause any damage?
  18. I was going to pay someone to finish it all off. But after being quoted $700+ I’ll just follow your recommended steps and try and deal with it myself. Thanks again!!!
  19. Prise them apart with arrows pointing up or down? 😬
  20. By the way, how do I remove these plastic clips in the boot? The arrow points up so I tried it with the arrows pointing down (and up) but I just can’t get it to move
  21. Kerosene and an old toothbrush worked great on most of the spots. I tried the wire sponge on the stubborn spots but they wouldn’t budge.
