  1. Looking a pair of rear shocks, all im getting are KYB standards. Will S bodied shocks fit? S13, S14, was told S15 are different. Bilstein are available, im looking to replace original spec, nismo shocks which are stamped KYB, Closest im getting are adjustables for a 240sx, S14. They where never imported here officially, maybe few gtrs but very few.
  2. Hi all, trying to work out if 4dr sedan spec2 glass headlights fit a 2dr spec 2. Also, will 4dr wings fit a 2dr, again R33 spec 2.
  3. Has anyone tried replacing r33 spec 2 4dr glass lenses onto a 2dr until, or has anyone got nackered 4dr units with good glass?
  4. If it would mean modding the shell no, could use r33 rwd gearbox, looking easiest option to build up a bare r33 shell from scratch, zero parts. No even a screw, clip or hose.
  5. Could full running gear be transplanted to r33 shell. Using r33 subframe, or stagea! Anything else fit, brakes, engine, gearbox, without modding.
  6. Looking clean, does it let in much water or have you resealed or replaced sealant around boot edge.
  7. Agree with early treatment. Plenty of rust converters out there. That info on how to prevent it. Nissan never got the memo of rust prevention. That overlaps need treatment before application, along with sealant, rust protection, primer and paint in all those important areas. It's nothing new. Cars have been rusting here for decades.
  8. Hi all, had a mot road safety failure due to headlight, adjusted too high. Think it is due to invisible shatter cracks in plastic scattering the beam. Options 1. Are new spec2 lenses available? 2. Would 4dr glass lenses work on coupe headlight unit, seen here coupe and saloon wiring is different. 3. Is there a lens available to cover inner reflectors. Removing outer lens? Any advise welcome! Oh. They are buffed to perfection on the outside.
  9. Do you need written proof to do this? From a nissan club. Or other source.
  10. When you all say insured as valued, is it agreed value, and how do you go about it, i am a member of a another car club, and is recognised by insurance companies as a agreed value source.
  11. Nice wee project, fairplay, for completing work in a small garage, what the story with the shorts? Dont you know its winter, and Scotland too! Most of the guys on here would be wearing long johns, trackie bottoms, jeans and overalls all at once - or maybe its a deceptive garage with underfloor heating.
  12. Thats really interesting, i am currently restoring a car, it was stored for a long time without any care, and lots of uv rays, then i stored it under a heavy duty cover, i have started preparing the car for paint. I can remove original paint with a sharp cutting blade, this is a first, makes my life easy, Sorry i cant help with your delema, maybe remove all paint on that panel, it will need removed to add any type of paint in the future. Where these cars e plated, as this seems pretty secure, but isnt on inner panels i believe? Confused!
  13. Or one of those temp gauges we get pointed at our heads every so often, should do the trick, reason i asked earlier, regarding fan, just in case electric fan was fitted for our two month summer above -3˚c, or someone trashing it or drifting previously! But scan tools seem logical.
  14. Ah go for a guess, electric heated demist mirrors small switch with a mirror auto pic, and on/off switch, a rear light foglight conversion.......what did I win? Other than that enter the car upsidedown, have a peek!
  15. Nice pencil work, does she do requests, if a photo is supplied, or prints, limited edition of a model?
  16. Wonder would he split, really want em dual sunvisors, they tie the car together, dude. As for prices, been there, and have seen it countless times, agree with 20s now 40s, and wanting em skylines back, as for quality of cars, the good ones always remain, the bad one will part out, and unfortunately rust, uneconomic to repair kills em, parts supply never really dries up, until, really rough wreckers are making strong money, then the wreckers become economical to fix as they are worth a high selling price, this is called car lifecycle, Put it this way, you would have to do some searching to get a brand new model T ford part, you may find it, but supply outways demand. Get prepared for: you, Skyline, parts guy! Sorry never heard of it mate.
  17. Bit of an Artwork render, what does INK mean? Im Not Kidding, I Never Knew, Innovation No knowledge, Integrity Necessity Karasima.
  18. Yeh, that's the lesson, try before you buy! In your case, pay. Its a shit way of working, but needs must!
  19. I've learned a lesson here. Try researching, if I think that I can't do it myself, maybe ask here, if others can advise, who knows, it might be doable without experts! But I would expect a professional to do an expert job. End OFF. and yes, been there before, ties where cut, never, ever again. I tend to photograph everything before hand, then go on a rampage if anything isn't exactly how it should be, 1 word of warning, you may either find what they have done will fail, 2 further problems will result, as part of their ham-fisted efforts.
  20. Next up is chassis leg. Removed spot welds. Removed chassis section. Heated, straightened, new 3mm plate section cut, weld through zinc primer, and fill holes drilled, ready to be fill welded! Should outlast me! One more side to go.
  21. Repair section in boot due to blasting process showing pin holes. No more holes. Once prepped and dressed. It will be rust proofed and seal sealed.
