I used to have a 2003 350GT 6m/t, I had it tuned through Uprev; was one of the first for the particular shop and they bricked my ECU. They had to send it to Uprev in the US before I could drive the car again.

I'm not an R35 owner, but I think the summary looks like..... Early ones break a lot. Later ones break less. When they break, you pay.

I am interested in getting the UpRev tune for my 2003 350gt but I checked the website and they said it doesn’t support it does this mean I can’t tune my car?

I am looking for first hand info on maintenance costs and reliability issues. I am trying to decide between my two Dream Cars, and have found a lot of good info, but reliability was the one area where all I could find was info parroted from some journalists talking heads. I’m going to ask the sub dedicated to the Porsche 911’s as well. I am smitten with both of these cars legacies and heritage, and want to own one or the other. This will be the main deciding factor for what my end goal will be. What are experienced GTR owners advice?

2010 G37x owner here. From all of the research I've done, it appears the gasket issue only affects a small percentage of the VQ37 engines (something like 10%-15% of cars built before 2012), and has been blown out of proportion by the internet. I bought my G37 with 70k on it, currently at 90k with no issues. I'm not sure if the same is true about the VQ35, but I'd assume it's not any more widespread.

Hello, I am looking at possibly purchasing a G35X. The car has 142000KM or ~90K miles. Generally, I have read that the VQ35HR has been fairly reliable aside from the oil gallery gasket issue it shares with the VQ37. Is this a problem that is common, especially at a higher mileage sample like the one I would like to purchase? Also, I am planning to view the car later, is there any advice or things I should look for? Thank you in advance!
