  1. I have replaced my headlight globes on my 2007 V36 sedan. They were d2s bulbs. I was able to access them by taking off the wheel & partially removing the fender liner but it was tight. I installed Osram cbb. They were a great upgrade over my stock lights
  2. East Coast Customs are probably the most popular option. They’re in the northern suburbs of Brisbane. They do a lot of VQ’s as well as other platforms. I thought I heard they may be the only licensed Uprev tuner in Qld even 🤷‍♂️ I did the brake upgrade last year. A great upgrade over stock. Did you get adaptor brackets for the front or steel lines too? I followed a thread from the US forums which was pretty comprehensive. I took a fair few photos if you need any help 👍
  3. How do you find out if it’s disabled? Can you feel it when you’re driving?
  4. Nico club? They have most manuals. Although I haven’t searched for the DD specifically it might be worth a try
  5. I’ve been through this problem with a 2007 V36 sedan. It is a nightmare. If you look through enough forum posts from the US, it seems there is a fault with the relearn process sticking with 2007’s specifically. After countless dead-ends a mechanic friend of a friend mostly solved it with his snap-on consult device. He found my exact jdm model on the scanner whereas the Nissan dealership were trying to use the 350z heading. As mentioned the parameters for the idle relearn are quite precise. In my research I’ve also read that forcing a fault & then clearing it can help. Unplug a maf sensor while the car is running which will cause a code. Clear the code & then try the entire realern sequence. The last resort would be to replace the throttle bodies. Good luck 👍
  6. You don’t have to swap the steering wheel. Just swap the plastic surround to accomodate the extra cruise control buttons
  7. I have looked into this a little bit & I’ll share what I have learned. You can get cruise control buttons & steering wheel surround from the US to enable map switching. That does not give you actual cruise control. You still need the actual cruise control box for ~$1000 I have also heard of first gen 370gt’s not having enough memory to store multiple maps. Options were to either find a later model ecu or ship the original ecu to the US for modification
  8. There has been a few unofficial surveys conducted in Fb groups in the US. I saw one with over 900 replies resulting in about 15% of people having gallery gasket issues. This was in a G35/G37 page so Z’s weren’t really included. I’ve heard of 2 confirmed gasket failures in Australia on V36’s. It can be catastrophic but I don’t think it’s as common as people are lead to believe.
  9. Is it a bolt with a sleeve around the shaft? If so it’s 100% safe to remove the stud. I believe it is because of the staggered factory set up so you don’t mix up the front & rears. I’ve upgraded to akebono calipers with new rotors & I removed the stud. I have about 2mm clearance & never had an issue with rubbing/rocks etc… so far
  10. My understanding is there can be a lot of variation of options across all models. Depending on what the buyer wanted at the dealer originally. The most definitive way I have found is to enter your vehicle number into a website like epc-data for example. It will tell you what model you have plus any optional extras
  11. As someone who has done it before, don’t do headers unless you are flush with cash. Headers on these engines are quite good from factory. Intakes, high flow cats & a cat-back exhaust is enough for most people. Do your mods first then tune. Good luck mate & enjoy the rabbit hole 😁
  12. I think invidia have an Aus based warehouse so they should able to help you out. Alternatively try jdmaccessories etc or another jam parts store. If you don’t mind a slightly longer wait, buy from the states. Stock intakes with high flow panel filters & silicone upper tubes perform exceptionally well. Better than short rams & on par with long tubes, for half the price. Short ram intakes suck the hot air from the engine bay, reducing performance. Congrats on your new purchase 👍
  13. Welcome mate. I have a 2007 V36 sedan & I’m on the sunny coast too 😁 Endgame in north Brisbane would be the pick. Otaku garage as well. They’re in lawnton I think. Heard good things about both but haven’t personally used either. try & avoid the stealership if you can. Currimundi didn’t seem to want a bar of my car due to being an import. Hope to see you around
  14. You can definitively find out all about the car if you go to epc-data.com & type the vehicle number in there. It will tell you which type you have plus any features from factory. Otherwise there’s a few ways to tell but they aren’t always as accurate. Half leather seats are S & full leather seats are SP I think. Bose audio is SP also but don’t quote me haha. you’re best bet for the wing mirror would be to try to find one at the local wreckers. Prices can vary. Or buy new from amayama.com. Their prices are better than the dealers but they ship from Japan so it can take up to 6 weeks or so. Unfortunately carwings doesn’t work outside Japan. There are Bluetooth adaptors that work pretty well though. I have a wired rca connection to my phone as I use an obd11 Bluetooth dongle to read the output of the car
  15. Is the Ecutek memory thing only an issue if you want multiple maps? If so maybe a single performance map could be supported & be a better option than swapping in a newer ecu 🤷‍♂️ Sure it’s cool to have multiple maps if you can, but not everyone actually needs them. Have a look at your individual situation & how much you would use a valet map etc.
