Found the problem. I had wired +12V to the wire and it had blown a chip in the alarm. The manual only gives a small cryptic reference to the wire being an earth by putting a (-) in one place. Thanks to the guys at Mongoose for replacing that chip. They were very helpful and with a relay in place the system now works well.

I know this a really old thread but its as close as I can find to my problem. I'm installing a an M60 into my car and I cannot get the boot release to fire. If I Hold button 2, for 3 sec and I get four flashes of the alarm but no pulse from CH2, Output wire. (This is what I expected, although the manual is very light on) I checked if CH 2 was an earth switch wire but again nothing. Struggling with this. Does anyone know the problem?
