  1. On the road? No idea as they die on the track first. I get 3-4 events out of the fronts if I can't rotate them. Depending upon how many laps I do. Guys with lighter cars get more. GTI is no lightweight at 1400kg stripped with me in it and a full tank. On my car they like 29-30psi, any more and they get destroyed. They will maintain that pressure for the whole day once dialled in. Honestly if you want a dual duty tyre I think they are the best you can get for the pace you get from them. Some people seem to have some really bad experiences with them though. I think they have some quality inconsistencies. I've never had an issue. I think the RE71RS cost me about $350 each for 18s. Can't remember exactly. Yes yanks seem to love the RT660 which we don't get. Most prefer it to the A052 because it's a lot cheaper and lasts longer but better than everything else.
  2. Can vouch for Zestino 07RS. I’ve been through 5 or 6 sets over the last two years. Used as daily and track tyres. Prices aren’t as sharp as they used to be so not as cheap as RS4 especially when they have buy 3 get 1 free. But you get what you pay for. The Zestinos are faster. Have done a 1:06 at Wakefield in a light tuned Golf GTI. 1:45 at Sydney Motorsport Park. Currently trying the new RE71RS and they are amazing. Won’t spin in 2nd on the GTI from a roll. Yet to try on track but expecting them to be at least a second faster than the Zestinos. For reference on A050 I’m easily in the 1:43 region on the GP circuit. Pushing into the 42s. Ran AR1 for a while. Not super impressed. Actually found Zestinos and Cup2s faster. But it was a while ago and I wasn’t really using the lateral grip available on the AR1. When you don’t they are just a heavy tyre with no feel or feedback. Have also used Zestino 07R. Not bad for the money but I’d rather spend a bit more for the much better 07RS.

  7. 1989 Cefiro For sale Located Parramatta - NSW $7800 Was originally RB20E. Converted to R32 spec RB20DET in Japan 5 Speed! Unknown amount of kays. Engine has a stamp from japan that says timing belt changed at 80k. So it would be over 100k. Autech front bar and side skirts with front bar opened up for front mount. Coilovers - but probably need replacing/rebuilding (left rear is pretty bad) R200 Diff and shafts (upgraded from R180 that it came with). Diff is not standard. Came on my 180 from japan, it is pretty tight, suspect shimmed but could be mechanical. Don't know ratio but suspect a 3.9:1 Engine has had all the seals replaced, rocker cover, cam seals etc. Timing belt replaced. Front mount cooler Turbo from RB25 Chipped ECU. Power approx 170-180kw atw (never got it dynoed) Walbro Fuel pump hard wired to battery. Pulls full 12V. Turbo back exhaust. Rear muffler replaced with twin tips muffler. Not too loud, just right. Rims are AVS Model 6. White. 16x7 and 16x8. Front has spacer and fills guards nicely. Front rubber is still good 80% but rears are gone. Has after market stereo with front splits and newer rears. All done in Japan. Deck is pretty old. (i have newer decks i can through in if interested) Has Alarm with 3 point immobilizer fited in Aus. Dark tints Momo tiller. Greddy boost guage Car is rough in some places. front left quarter took a small hit drifting, i've replaced the guard but it doesn't sit quite right. Included is original guard and replacement. Rear brakes have been replaced with R32 twin pots. Fronts are standard but might through in some R32 4 pots with discs redrilled to 4 stud. Brakes currently won't hold pressure when the engine is on. Not sure where the problem is. Car has been sitting around for a while. Replaced aircon compressor with unit from RB25 Had alternator recoed. Really want this car gone quickly. It's been sitting in my garage for over a year now. I was meant to be fixing it up but now i can't be bothered. it's a good car, sounds really tough and drifts really well. Just needs a bit of work. It's also out of rego and passed the 3 months so it will need a blue slip in NSW. Here's some old pics. I'll take some new ones on the weekend. Contact me via PM or by mobile on 0402 266 755.

  11. Year model: 89 Motor:RB20DET Man/Auto: Man Average k's p/tank: 400 only, get 450 if i push it. Hows it driven: To work and back in pretty heavy traffic. Lots of start and stop, then i give it a bit on the weekends. Still pretty crappy though, think the O2 sensor needs replacing Mods: FMIC, RB25 turbo, pump, remap, stock air box. What would you change about it if you could: 1JZ conversion, softer spring rates for the street. respray.
  12. I guess i try and avoid the centre of Parra. And i wouldn't be caught dead "cruising" up church street. My main route to get to work and back is o'connell street and victoria road. The only other ceff i've seen in parra was a stock looking grey one. With an old guy driving it.
  13. Long term the 180 is the sensible option. Newer car, newer engine. less likely to break/wear out things. Short term i'll earn money selling the 180, whereas it will cost me money to sell the ceff and keep the 180. other draw back is I know i'll want to mod the 180 if i get it. Whereas i'm pretty happy with the performance of the ceff right now. It's just the condition of the rest of the car that would need attention down the track.
  14. Keep changing my mind. Maybe i'll keep the cefiro. Even though its old as, i still love it. Plus i could use the money from selling the 180. Whoever buys it though is getting a great car. I just hope i can find another one just as good one day.
  15. I think they have the same interiors. Slightly updated seats maybe. Not sure if original 180 had digital climate control. This one does. I'd have to have them side by side though t compare.
  16. The 180 came with Teins. But yeah i would pull out all the suspention mods on the ceffy and put them on the 180. And if it doesn't have a mech diff i'll be swapping that over as well. i'll just loose all the engine mods. I reckon i've spent about $4.5k that i won't get back. So i have to weigh that up as well. The idea of things not wearing out every month is what is most appealing.
  17. Yes thats it, i'm a f4g. I actually haven't decided yet. The reason i'm thinking about it is i've imported a '97 180sx that i was planning on selling. But now that its arrived i kind of like it. Biggest selling point is that it's so new compared to the Cefiro. When you get in the car you can really tell the difference. I haven't driven the 180 yet so i don't know if i'll like it as much as the ceffy. I really love the Cefiro, thats why this is such a hard decision. Every day i seem to change my mind. Here's some pics of the 180 i took yesterday at the compliance place. http://www.flickr.com/photos/drewken/sets/72157594236309906/
  18. It does have good coilovers in it atm. I just thought i wouldn't get the money for them if they went with the car. They are only 1.5 years old. And paint isn't that good. 90% of the car has good paint, just the roof and a few rough spots. So maybe i'll have to look at $10k Here's pics http://www.flickr.com/photos/drewken/sets/72157594204432726/
  19. I'm thinking of selling the Cefiro. 89 model. I'm going to put it back to as stock as possible. Only mods will be: Front mount Turbo from R33 Tints 15% Full exhaust from turbo back Walbro fuel pump Had $2k spent on engine, seals, timming belt, bearing etc AVS model 6 rims 16" JIC ciolovers that probably need rebuilding. Autech front bar and skirts Needs some pannel work on front left guard, paint on roof fading. How much does everyone think i could sell it for? How difficult are they to sell? i'd like to get $11-$12k
  20. Get the Autech skirts. They don't go lower than the sills. At least they will square off the sides a bit. Looks good though.
  21. Had my Cefiro for over 1 year now. Drive it ever day to work. Live in Parramatta, Sydney defect city and never been pulled over. car is pretty low and loud. 4 doors for the win!
  22. i really need an autech rear bar. car just looks wrong without it.
