  1. Video doesn’t go any longer cause a coil pack turned off as soon as I hit stop and turned back on as I got to my driveway lol
  2. Hang on I’ll do the better video
  3. Sorry about the shit quality it it was recorded on a Samsung and sent to me via sms
  4. At least he can have a build thread on the bmw, just call it the error code lottery build
  5. Don’t need oil restrictors and use genuine gaskets and studs
  6. Also started to tidy up the interior. The original steering wheel was past its used by date and was really becoming an eye sore I managed to find one that while it isn’t perfect it was about 95% and a huge improvement over the old oneI’m thinking about getting the original reupholstered and putting it back on
  7. Nothing to exciting this week, decided to put a modern head unit in it The old one still had a CD player in it and I couldn’t play the music on my phone through it nice new one with no cd slot and can play music from my phone using blue tooth and can make hands free phone calls with it as well
  8. Have one set of imperial spanners and they have rust all over them cause they’ve never been near oil lol
  9. To do this job I’ve got s shaped spanners, crows feet, 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 drive socket sets with lots of various length extensions, rattle gun, ratchet ring spanners, normal spanners, offset spanners and the list goes on. I have doing this job down to art now but I was a mechanic and am lucky enough to have a very extensive range of tools at my disposal I’ve also seen more then my fair share of people who have f**ked this job attempting it
  10. The best advice anyone can give is if you don’t have genuine mechanical experience, get someone who does
  11. Don’t get to carried away, put his vin down not the whole model
  12. Plumbed up the boost control solenoid and wired it into the ecu, then enabled it and turned it right down to waste gate pressure, will leave turning it up to jez
  13. For what it cost I wouldn’t waste my money making the original pump work
  14. It feels exactly how it did with the mechanical pump cause all the pressure adjustment is done on the rack. It takes about 10 seconds when you start the car to get to pressure and then it’s awesome would definitely be an option for those people
  15. Mounted the pump and then plumbed the boot down to the bulk heard fitting then the lines go from the bulk head fittings to the steering rack have since been wired up it, filled it and tested it for leaks and it all works really well
  16. Cam gears will help dramatically, put a decent cat in it, check the exhaust for restrictors, check the ignition logs on the haltech for scatter. ive also seen quite a few r33s that made no power cause you couldn’t put any ignition advance in them due to faulty crank angle sensors
  17. Putty road this weekend will be swarming with cops
  18. I think it might be a while away from being able to do that, got a holiday coming up in 2 weeks and still doing a few things on it
  19. Yuck, definitely don’t want that to happen.
  20. And then I bet once you drove it with the new ecu you kicked yourself for not having done it years earlier
  21. Not at the moment considering we all know the reputation of the factory oil pump
  22. I don’t think it’s far away now, just have a lot of fiddly things left that I’m working through
