  1. Hello, like it says, various things for sale. 1. Sony KP-XA43 Projection TV (43 inches) $1500 2. R32 Gtst Slotted Rotors (fronts, brand new) $350 3. Playstation 2 with 2 controllers, 1 Memory Card, "Formula 1 2004", "The Sims" $250 Interested? call Zak on 0405 982 283 stuff needs to go before 15th March
  2. Like it says, looking for hybrid front mount cooler, or any 600x300x75 cooler with inlet holes angled down slightly. just caned my cooler, so hafta replace...not looking to replace current piping. N if anyone knows of anyone who can re-fibreglass a broken bomex front bar, can u pass me their contact details? thanks... Zak
  3. Yea they don't do very well in the wet, I can agree to that. I've been wheelspinning every time it rains here, at every traffic light. They're low on tread right now, so i just need to replace em quick, no real preference for any other brands. Wouldn't a new set be fairly driveable in the rain? Anyway, I'll check out the price with your quotes in mind. I figured they might be around $260 each like qtvinsta said, which is still in my range. Has anyone used any better tyres that u'd get at the same price?
  4. Hey all, just wanted to check if anyone knew the price of 2 falken ZIEX tyres dimensions are: 265/35/R18. And is there any good cheap place to get these on the Gold Coast? thanks
  5. I have a friend who used 2 layers of black masking tape. It works in a way, cos the front bar never gets any paint rubbed off, only the masking tape. I guess it helps when u just 'scrape' a kerb or road surface, but it wouldn't help when it's a stronger impact. I would think sheet metal makes a horrendous noise when it gets scraped.
  6. Hey all, Just need some info on where to go to get a good detailing job done for my car. I'm on the Gold Coast, so local names would help. The paint's got some patches where water droplets have stayed on the car, and magnified the sun's rays, eating through the paint ever so slightly. I've been told a good cutback of the paint will get this looking like new again. Does anyone know who I can see about this? thanks
  7. does the gold coast fall under your areas of consideration?
  8. Hey all, My car seems to be in pretty bad shape according to Gavin Wood....well, not bad shape, but not that great either. He's informed me of a leaking exhaust manifold (possibly warped in some way, or cracked), coil pack problems and a fuel pump that is dropping pressure up around 6000rpm. I just wanted to find out if anyone has experienced problems like this before, all at once. I'd just like to get some cost estimates from u guys cos it can help with my budgeting for it. Gavin is either looking to machine the manifold, or if that can't work, replace it. The fuel pump problem is gonna be solved by a fuel pressure regulator, and I guess new coil packs would be in order to. So if anyone could give me a good estimate of how much the parts can cost, that would be much appreciated
  9. I gave my Bomex front bar a good crack when i misjudged the distance to a kerb at uni. It's the worst feeling in the world. What made it worse is that the bar is still around legal height, n bumps and anything else are no problem. Sometimes the fact that an aftermarket bar juts out a little bit more than usual can get u into trouble too. The bar is now actually cracked, but not where u can see it...just underneath. sux!
  10. damn, I'm looking for a queen bed...don't suppose you could make an exception if you become desperate for a buyer n send it up here? (QLD)
  11. Anyone wanna get rid of one of these? I need one that's still on the car, ready for direct transfer (pulled off the car, sealed and put into mine in about 48 hours).
  12. Hey descr8, would you be able to pull off the panelling inside the wheel wells at the front? (the black stuff with the vents) mine are worn down, need to replace. It goes onto a s1 gtst, so let me know if it can be done...thanks man
  13. Yea i'm gonna ask Gavin tomoro to look at maybe modifying the pipes first, that might work out nicer. I'm told that the piping itself doesn't cost that much, it's the silicone hoses n clamps that are expensive. If he can modify or even replace the pipes, it could still work out cheaper cos the clamps are all there. Thanks again for the info guys, I'll check it all up.
  14. I have a kit already on the car, but my car has an aftermarket front bar, and the hybrid kit was probably made for the normal m-spec front bar. The result of this was that the cooler sits further back than I would have liked it to be. In addition to this, the fitting of the pipes inside the engine bay seems to be out of place slightly, and I actually did have to shave a bit of my fan to avoid the piping. I would just prefer to get a custom job done so that the cooler sits a bit further in front, and the pipes fit just right. It really looks messy under there at the moment.
