  1. Thanks for posting Zoros.. was my old car and yes the post is legit.. check my post count to find the issues that were resolved on the car.. I was the one who found the car for him and yes I went overboard on the security of it. the downside is that if the car is not driven much the battery does get drained after a while. Worked when it counts, and I guess thats all that matters.. When you get it back from the cops let me know and we'll re-wire it a bit differently this time..
  2. no pics of the engine bay?

  3. yeah back in 2007 :P

  4. dude. where is that thread about your car?

  5. Well didnt find the seals, but thought I woudl reseal the throttle bodies using the instructions in diy throttle body fix. However after the pain of putting it all together, the car still idles high :-P Now playing around, and will see what i can do.. But hope it will all work out good in the end.. Just time I guess. Not lookign forward to pulling the throttle bodies off again.. but at least it is fresh in my memory on what to do now..
  6. Thanks for all your help guys. I will post some pics on what i have decided to do. But I will apply a coating, there is still some light poking through.. The end bits are just dust covers by the look of it, and I was told as long as i coat around the butterfly shaft, I wont need to replace them. Basically stripped the throttle bodies, and polishing them while I am at it.. Thanks heaps again.
  7. No that is something that I did not even think of. Now that you mentioned it, I will go see a few, and see if they have anything similar. Thanks heaps for that..
  8. Yeah thought about that.. But luckily, I can't see light looking through them.. So I think they are still fine.. I would not wanna risk it tho, so therefore would just get the orings replace them, and she should be ok.. Worst case I will use just a very fine coat of silicone, but did not wanna go down that route. Thinking about taking them to a performance shop to see what they think.
  9. Nah could not get it from nissan. Apparently can only buy the throttle bodies complete.. this is not something that i was willing to do I wonder if there is any place that can service them.. I was thinking hyperdrive.
  10. I Had a very similar problem in my 33 gtst. Does your pedal feel funny??? I found that my clutch pedal had broken.. Have a look uder the dash, and shine a torch or somthing onto where your pedal joins the firewall. Mine was pretty rooted.. And this explained why the car would move forward even if the clutch is engaged. Just my 2 cents worth.. have a look at the pic. this is where the pedal bolts to the firewall.
  11. Hi All, I DID POST THIS IN FORCED INDUCTION PERFORMANCE, BUT NEED LOCAL HELP I GUESS I have a bit of an issue with my GTR. When it was just running, it would idle at ~ 1500rpm. So a quick search on the net pretty much summed my problem up.. I had cleaned the throttle bodies while the engine was in bits, and seems like i created the problem for myslef. So the painful process of removing the inlet manifold and throttle bodies to investigate started. The manifold is off, and I inspected the throttle bodies, to find that they were not closing all the way due to some of the (nissan coating) still being there. So now i cleaned them all the way, and they look quite sparkly inside.. I had a look at all the parts, and found that one of the O'rings needed replacing as well, but no matter where I go, I cant find a place to buy them.. I bought new gaskets for the throttle bodies, but dont want to be in a position where i would need to pull them off again. Anyone know where I can get some of these? and is there anyone that can suggest something similar to the coating that nissan use, rather then using silicone as suggested on a DIY fix (http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/286728-nissan-gtr-high-idle-and-throttle-body-fix/page__hl__cleaning++throttle++body). I heard that some of the performance shops dont bother with this, but i would rather be sure.. Am I on the right track or completely wrong.. Some images are here. Any help is appreciated.
  12. Yeah mate, That was my first option. Then went to United Fuel injection, to see if they can help.. but no such luck.. getting my injectors serviced tho.

  14. It's ok big boy... May as well vent your frustration now.. Better then out on track, as the only chopping that you'll be doing will be the grass you collect when spinning out... Looking forward to Team Green Wang Pump taking the trophey this time
  15. Ok, So since the helmet that I use (Thanks Paul) still has Green Wang pump racing on it. I think the team will have to be re-united.. Hopefully Scotty won't burn out the clutch this time.. )))))) Team Green Wang Pump Racing FTW...

    R33ecu

Hi Guys, Just wondering if anyone knows the differences between markings on R33 ecu's. I have one with TJ on it, and another with CC on it. What is the difference, I have had a look through the forums and could not find anything.. I have heard that there is different ones for S1's and S2's but nobody has mentioned any markings on them. Any help is greately appreciated. Cheers, maka.
  17. Hey man, I donno if it would be any use to you. There is 3 pins at the back of the 33 dash that refer to the fuel. By the sound of things it seems that it is more a gauge problem then the sender unit (if it went up when accelerating). You can measure the 3 pins and see what you get. There is labels on the back of the dash for the correct pin (well it is actually 3 screws) You can't miss it: Looking at the back of the dash, next to the right 10pin connector the fuel track that connects to the centre screw of the gauge is the sender signal. The signal is a measurement between 0 ~ 180Ohm depending on level of the tank. With the ignition off, measure that wire in relevance to a ground. Using a multimeter on the 200 ohm setting. Alternatively.. Measure the other two pins. The top pin (screw) is GND, the bottom is +8V when ign is on. If you find out that the gauge is at fault (measurements ok) let me know, I have another instrument cluster you can try and plug in, and see if that fixes the problem.
  18. PAID Note that the payment from me was made for 3 ppl, myself, Adrian and Simon. Although just noticed that I spelt the last name wrong in the pm.. Adrian Jameson. Not Adrian James :-P See you all there.
  19. hey guys, quick question. Anyone know where I would be able to buy a skyline with left hand drive? Specifically, either r33 gtst or gtr? Thanks in advance.
  20. Hey man. I am guessing you are talking about an R33 gtst. The stock boost controller is controlled by the ecu, and there could be a variety of things causing it not to go into high boost. I personally couldnt be bothered trying to figure it out, and instead removed the standard boost controller, which gave me 7psi, all the way through the rev range. have a look on the forums, in regards to disabling the standard boost controller. from memory it was something like shorting out the black wire to ground, which sends a signal back to the ecu. don't qoute me on that, but have a look on the forums, and you will find the post. If your temp gauge sits half way or there abouts, your temperature should be ok. And i doubt that the temperature would affect the computer boosting. And man, dont feel disheartened by this, it happens to all of us, i know how i felt when mine melted a piston, but now that she's all good again, i realise whyh i love it so much hehe. You'll get it sorted. Hope this helps. Cheers maka.
  21. PM sent, looking forward to seeing all you guys there.. Feeling kinda competitive at the moment too
  22. Far out.. Looks like all you guys still think you have a chance.. Team Green Wang Pump will win!!!!! And if not, wang pump deposits will be deployed.. And just for the record, 23 laps in the pits, and still coming 2'nd last with the last cart still going is not a bad effort... Oh this day will be eventful, can't wait to kick some ass... ramrod, look out..
  23. Brad, Just wanted to know is this one of those things where car sharing would be OK?
  24. Dude.. This wog will kick your ass... Remember Scotty adn Brad are in the Lightweight category.. which puts us in the Heavyweight... You're on.....
  25. I donno if you were talking about my car or not.. But yeah mine is actually genuine, although it had a hiding for the past 4 years that I've had the car for.. Been repaired about 3 times, and I have Paul, as proof that it needs another repair job.. lol Got a GTR grill at home as well, but doesnt sit right so the Gts't one will do for now. Thanks heaps for the Organisers of the cruise, Me and the missus had a wicked time. So happy to have my car back, so i can drive it again, hehe. Had to rush off afterwards, was running late for lunch, and was still a bit jet lagged, after getting off a plane about 6 hours before the cruise Can't wait for the next one, hopefully my car will be running to its full potential by then. Can't wait to see the videos of it as well.. Dan, you said you got some video.. Here is a few pics from my phone/camera. Will make a album on facebook, and post the link in the SAUWA group. Cheers, maka.
