  1. Something is choking it really bad! Is there a rag in the cooler pipes, blocked/collapsed cat/muffler? the 426hp run is a lot better. What do Mercury say about it?
  2. You can, but it would be more expensive to have an adaptor made up from the turbo manifold to the down pipe than it would to get a 2nd hand RB20 turbo. Plus all the piping changes and stuff for your AFM
  3. Are the injectors out of squirt being only 550s?
  4. yeah thats them, And the "2nd Nipple" looks like it could be the one on the pipe. That would be for the turbo wastegate actuator. The nipple on the BOV goes to the intake plenum, just find the stock BOV hose and use that.
  5. The Pro-cars are hardly "real cars" most of them are to serious even for Sport Sedans. Even some of the open class cars last year would have been at home in a Sport Sedan series. Superlap/Jap time attack events have always been "he who has the most wallet wins the day" I would like to see the cars do 2 or 3 timed flying laps and have the lap times averaged out, that way we could seperate the grenades that chew a set of tyres and a engine in 1 lap, from those who have propper race cars.
  6. Hahah yeah I have 2 or 3 posts in the engine failure thread. But looks like the oil test did its job and you didnt kill it big time.
  7. I was going to run WMI, but was told but so many people not to, I am kinda glad I didnt now, you are right water stays cooler for longer, but once it warms up it is almost impossible to get cold again with the size heat exchanger you can fit in most cars without lots of cutting etc.
  8. I think the NEO cam covers are slightly different, the flange is the same though. Will be good to see on the NEO engine.
  9. I did it with my Emanage Ultimate without issue. I think the only potential problems is fine tuning any knock and or AFR's in the higher revs, so if you need to pull timing or add fuel at say 5200rpm you have to pull the timing for 500rpm so may show as a little dip in power.
  10. Phil, the Blitz setup comes on its own pipe (the hot pipe from memory) and yeah I think they have 2 nipples like the stock toyota BOV's on my 1jz a single hose runs from the plenum then splits into two at the Bov (something to do with keeping it open at low throttle, but I doubt that will apply to the atmo Blitz unit. As for the stock bov, you will need a blocking plate.
  11. Nothing wrong with that exhaust manifold! For the pumps i would go 2 x Bosch 044's or if you like the walbros go 2x the inline Walbro, (GSS-341?) The puff of smoke could be a number of things, but the video doesnt give any real clue as to what is going on (to me anyhow)
  12. Why cams? Been shown over and over again that they aren't needed.
  13. What if its a really hot day, or you have low vehicle speed so no air passing through the cooler core etc. Sure you could do it, but I would be shit scared of giving it a hit without checking intake temps every 2 seconds
  14. I would start with the fuel system, a Nice 4L surge tank with twin pumps. Some nice tough valve springs Bigger exhaust and dump pipe + good 4 or 5" body cat Do you have pics of your exhaust manifold, maybe spend some coin on a Full Race one. Can I ask what duty cycle you are seeing with the 850cc injectors? How much timing are you running? What Intercooler are you using? What compression ratio? from memory the Weiso's are quite low on comp + your head gasket
  15. That was quick! Sucks about the bearings though, how did the crank come out? Resuable?
  16. Hmm drift car from 2002, would be an R31 wagon with a highly exotic RB20DET conversion
  17. I has beers, so no go for me
  18. Yeah 15mins sessions, but even the pro guys come out do a warm up lap, come in check tyre pressures, go out warm up, do 1 flying lap and come back in.
  19. No they read vacuum, a 2 bar map sensor reads up to 1bar boost
  20. I concour, but i figured if a heap of people were going id say hi
  21. ACT has rally rego, but the section on their site is very vague
  22. Trent - Do you think for my application the TD06-20G would be better suited, do you have any charts of one from a 25 or 1jz?
  23. Im trying to remember but i think he made very close to his E85 power on PULP, because I remember him saying that the standard cams were holding him back once he switched over. Either way both his and R33_racers were Rb30s which will help power.
  24. Not to mention the market price for these things is stupidly high. I mean 10K for a 15-20 year old car is silly, a 10 year old 100,000 buck beemer is what 18k these days. Not saying that this car is over priced, just the price of skylines/180sx's in general is over inflated and I think people are starting to reaslise that.
