Nope, because that is what is suppose to hold the gate shut. Resricting its movement so that incase of cold whether or a bit of extra load etc it overboosts and pings it nut off and kills a motor, is what I call back yard. Just another potential engine killer from the way I see it. Sure it may work ok now, but havent really been tested for a long period, even still you will never see one on my car.

Finally someone who thinks the same. Its dropping boost for a reason, jamming it shut has got to be the most backyard thing I have ever seen.

Water/Meth injection is what you need imo, you will also be able to whack a heap more timing in too. and get the exhaust manifold ceramic coated and heat wrapped. I dare say because you still have 10:1 comp, there will be bugger all timing advance on boost, and retarded timing means hotter EGTs (exhaust gas temps) which is causing the very hot engine bay. With my car using a highflow I flogged the ass out of it for 40mins at wakefield and once I pulled in i could hold my hand on the hotside cooler pipes without burning myself while trying to fix an oil leak.

hahah I like noodles, my car doesnt handle that bad!, needs a wheel alignment really bad though, just pulled the front wheels off and there is like a 35deg wear angle on the inside edge of the tread. Oh and if you do sell your car, I call shotgun!, just make sure the grasshoppers are cleaned out kthx
