  1. Location: Brisbane contact: [email protected] Bike: Suzuki TL1000R 1000cc V-Twin superbike red and black 16k klms good Pirelli tyres with heaps of tread chain and sprockets in excellent condition Otherwise pretty much stock standard Just had service with new oil, filter, coolant, plugs and battery everything else checked over as well. Recently ran out of rego as I have not been riding it much lately due to other committments. Will be sold with a QLD Roadworthy Certificate (bike is spotless so a roady is not prob at all). Can deliver it to your door in Brisbane/gold coast/sunshine coast or northern NSW if you decide to buy. That way you don't have to worry about getting it home before you can make it in to get the rego done. $9900 or near offer. pics available on request, my email is above if you want some pics or more info. This is a good bike and you won't find one cheaper anywhere even in crap condition with 3x the klms
  2. I know a good import mechanic in Brisbane. He is working from home at the moment for a bit of money on the side and has excellent prices and service. If you want his details mail me. He used to do all the work on my R32 and R33 and can pressure test the system for you and find where it is leaking from. Even if the car has been sitting for a while it should not leak coolant. Also tap water in the cooling system for an extended period is bad. Especially Brisbane water that is very heavy in minerals etc. Anyway my email is [email protected] You should get it checked out and fresh coolant put in. Cheaper to spend a few bucks now than blow a head gasket or something from it overheating.

    Insurence?

Insurance seems to be getting worse lately. I was considering importing an 89 model GTST for next year so I rang around to get some quotes and was horribly surprised. Previously I was paying $1100 per year with Suncorp for a 1995 R33 GTST. Rang around to get quotes on a 89 model R32GTST with a value of $10000 and got: Suncorp: Sorry we won't insure you with that car. Famous: $1650 (agreed value $10k no mods) JustCars: $1450 (agreed value $10k no mods) This for a 24 year old driver with 60% no claim bonus (rating 1) and a perfect driving history without a single fine or accident ever. No way I am paying that! Might have to buy a crummydore or something.
  4. Japanese language with english subtitles that you can turn on or off. As far as I know there has not been a english dubbed version released anywhere. I doubt that there will be any time soon either.
  5. Sent both of you PM's
  6. stuff's cheaper down south any way. Intercoolers, Mandrel bent exhausts etc are all much cheaper so if you guy a car down here anyway it would make sense if you can afford to get it done at the same time. You could always order the parts up and fit them yourself I guess. The thing I would be worried about is getting it all tuned. I don't know if there are any good workshops around in Darwin for dyno tuning aftermarket computers etc.
  7. That's a worry on the bike, I could see my license vanishing pretty damn quick if there was a cop at the right place at the right time. Oh well, will just have to do more track days or get an interstate license. NT license still doesn't have demerit points, might get mine back when I go up mid year.
  8. I think your options for performance work and upgrades in Darwin is pretty limited from what i have seen (lived there 10 years). Especially for high performance turbos like skylines etc. If you are going to buy one down south somewhere (which would seem likely) then get any major stuff you want done while you are down. There are more places with good reputations, and more competition means better prices for you
  9. 89 model R32 GTRS become eligible under the 15 year old rule next year as well...Dunno what your chances are of finding one in good nick but there were a few on the prestige mailing list a while back for around $15k.
  10. Sent you a PM about them, I know where to get them cheaply.
  11. I had one of these exactly the same but with white face dials and it is a straight swap for the stock one in a GTST. No need to mess around with harnesses or anything...
  12. I second that these guys do quality work, know skylines and have great prices. They did the exhaust on my R33. Recommended by Gavin Woods at Autotech who I am sure Nismo Girl has told everyone all about
  13. Hicas on the R33 is fully electric. Topping up the power steer fluid won't do anything for you. I never had a problem with my hicas and I had aftermarket 17" wheels on. I can't see how that could possible make a difference anyway, but it certainly didn't in my case. My car was a R33 GTST
  14. Gear knob is sold. No din inserts. Just what is in the post. I am not wrecking a car or anything its just some stuff that's in my garage, figured someone might need them and I might get a couple of bucks rather than just tossing it all Gold Coast Car Sound in Slacks Creek have nice DIN inserts for R33. That's where I got the one for my car and it looked perfect, like factory fitment.
