  2. it should take about 3.8-4.2L of oil. when you mean remainders, you did drain the old oil out first yeah? Your asking if its hard to get to the bolt which implies that you didnt change the oil at all, you just filled 2L of motul in with the old oil. Thats a lot of oil to pack in. when i bought my turbolight it came in more than a 2L bottle. Did you change the oil filter too? sounds like you didnt do a proper oil or a service for that matter to me...thats how I'm seeing it from what you've said.
  3. ouch at that pickup truck pic. I know where your coming from and its not really your driving style like others have pointed out. Its your setup, thats all. Stiff suss wont see you going sideways unpredictably at really low k's but it is one of many factors, your camber, your tyre, and the amount of surface contact. get em all sorted out and you should have no drama other than your right foot. I addressed these issues and the problems gone away and I'm still running my stiff tiens.

  5. My stock sony stacker for my stock headunit died in the ass, i think my coilovers eventually killed it. Might be a long shot but does anyone have a working one that they dont need and want to get rid of it for super el-cheapo. Dont want to spend too much or else i might as well get a new unit..ha. My exhaust and I have run out of things to talk about and I want some travelling music back. Cheers.
  6. Was driving on napean near southland yesterday and drove past this infront of the cop shop. Thought too myself thats a pretty cool way of getting the message across untill I looked in the rear view to see that it was a 32. Should have known better lol. Chucked a U'ee and snapped some pics for you guys. Just a reminder to have a safe and happy xmas everyone. Take it easy on the roads mkay
  7. just pass your cam off to one of the driver thats waiting in line for their turn. cant guarantee the quality of the cameraman but you will get some footage.

  9. stock ones register 80ish plus dont they? so ave yourself the trouble of paying for two tests and just wack a cat back stocker on. Some places will see that you have a stocker and wont bother pulling the machine out to test. Those are the places to go to. What sucks with the test is that cause of the engine size or whatever they have to rev it to 5k.
  10. you guys think there will be an issue with oil to the engine as the car is being thrown sideways on high revs? Or are we all weak beginners that we cant throw it around hard enough to starve the engine of oil?
  11. what tyres are you running? hows the wear on them? how low is your rears, how much camber does it have? When i put my tiens on they lowered the car and gave me a fair amount of camber front and rear. the extra camber on the rear created uneven tyrewear on the inside of my tires and I could easily break traction when turning in first say to do a U or 3 point turn. It got to the point where it was quite predictable. Would also break traction in the rain on red lights if i gave it say 1.5k revs on take off. I now have a set of good Yokos and camber kits so it doesnt do it anymore.
  12. take it back to the mech to sort it out? whirring sound could be over tightened timing belt? the cluttering sound you describe sounds a whole lot worse....well in my dictionary anyways.
  13. ive used it before and no probs. true that oil pressure is lower but i cant see it being the cause of your problem though. did you do anything else when you changed your oil like sparks, fuel filter and stuff. they would more likely be the culprit than the oil in my opinion.

  15. yeah theres always no harm in asking. AUD sucks mega aloa, has stopped me buying heaps of things that i wouldnt have thought twice on 6 months ago. I guess your right that they're suffering on their side also, never really thought of it that way. I've heard some local parts importers here have closed up due to it. ah well...what can you do really.
  16. i think bargaining for a business kinda sends mixed messages to consumers and is too much of a headache as one person will question why one got so and so for so and so price and so on so so. It is more efficient in a business sense to just stick to the game plan. it wouldnt hurt to ask but id say unless your spending 5k plus on say 5+ items i dont think your gonna get a discount. If you can get it cheaper at your local tuner it would make sense to get it off him wouldnt it? shop around, compare prices and ask yourself if delivery times is worth the money saved. i myself am willing to pay abit extra to get soemthing in my hands quicker if I really need it.

  18. you just get this gizzmo that plugs into your head unit to open up the band to over the 100 mark so you can get aussie channels.
  19. start by giving all the electrical contacts a good clean, then putting direct power to the window motor itself to find out if it has died. then its the fun task of sourcing a motor. my spider senses say theres gotta be another nissan out there with teh same power window motor...ive had no luck figuring out which one though. ive tried repco but they just ask you what model your car is and look through the book. they dont bother thinking outside the box.
  20. the indicators are stuck to the whole housing from my knowedge. should try replacing bulbs first before removing the whole unit. the previous owner probably spliced the wiring incorrectly.
  21. glad its at the mech. scratches head as to how you put the diesel nozzle in too. Did they put the new fuel nozzle in durring compliancing?
  22. ha...well you could say all my transactions here have been like that. Though i do check to see how long theyve been a member and see if they have some trader feedback but at the end of the day im still sending money to someone i dont know. P.s is there a way to make it compulsory to leave trader feedback, i dont know how. Ive had a few transactions where i havent been left any in return which leaves me short changed.
