  1. Baby34 - Thanks for that, I'll check it out... Do you have a copy of the dyno sheet you showed me but with AFR on it so I can compare and check mine out? If you could e-mail/pm? It was a brand new sensor and calibrated in the last week. Anyway back on topic. BBQ Sold Out in pretty good time - Were people still hungry?
  2. 40 cars, Sausages, Drinks = $2000+ raised for Australian Cancer Research Foundation Thanks everyone who helped and everyone who put their cars on.
  3. Sorry slinky, no pro db meters available, just Dyno and BBQ Look forward to seeing everyone out, we've cleared out the cars for undercover standing room, and afternoon weather is looking good.
  4. Ash - drop the front shaft before you come down, no excuses. Thanks for the support guys. last time we kicked $2800 into the bushfire appeals fund at Red Cross! Sam
  5. HALLOWEEN: Dyno Day / Fundraiser Ok, so it's been a while since we had a decent dyno day... To be exact the last dyno day we had was 12th February 2009, not long after the horrific bush-fires that destroys so many lives and homes. Why haven't we had one since? Honestly it was pretty exhausting with the turnout we had - 75 cars in 8 hours non stop, a great atmosphere, and $2820 was raised and donated to the Red Cross Bushfire Appeal! It's been bugging me a while, and the time is due... In my life I've seen people had their lives cut short by many different causes, and also seen some great triumphs over adversity... One charity I would like to help out this time is The Australian Cancer Research Foundation (ACRF) - We will be donating our time and facilities, and ask you take advantage of the offer to dyno your vehicle of choice in the name of charity! Dr Drift ACRF Halloween Dyno Day & Night - Sunday 31st October 2010 Location: Dr Drift Unit 5 / 9 Alick Rd Tottenham, Victoria Australia, 3012 Time: 3pm till late Date : Sunday 31st October 2010 Price : $50 per car / $30 per anything else - Donated to the Australian Cancer Research Foundation It does not matter if you have a 5 kw car or a 500 kw car its all in the name of charity so if your car is not running bring your mums magna down for a run.! All other donations are welcome & encouraged. Clapped out commos, shit boxes, rollers, lambos, whatever... Mop on hand to clean mess! Anyone know a butcher to donate some meat for a BBQ we can raise some funds with that too? We can and will dyno motorbikes, electric wheel chairs, pit bikes, pocket bikes, ride on law mowers.. whatever you've got... I DARE YOU!
  6. I'll take the diff without the flanges (tongues) that TimGTR wants and without driveshafts if you'll go $150? Just had a pinion bearing go in my Sil80.
  7. Was good to see a couple of familiar faces again, haven't been on a cruise in far too long... Thanks Danielle for letting me ride shotgun. Niroj - Can't believe how lucky you were not to do any damage to yourself or your car.. So close. Thanks again to all for waiting for us
  8. No one actually picked up on this... There is only pre-cat O2 sensors on a GTR, the post cat sensor is an EGT for sensing when the cat is too hot only. Running twin pipes full length will be no problem at all, just disconnect the post cat egt (plugged in under passenger seat then through floor). I for one would be curious how a full twin system would sound
  9. Trent - I'm pretty sure that mine are from a different place as they don't sell the T67 mind pm'ing me their details Also, you mentioned the inferior performance above, was that relating to the Kando ones? Do the ones you get have the same characteristics of slightly inferior performance? I have a Genuine L2 and one of my copy ones here, and will be doing back to back in the next few weeks as you now have me curious. Pulled apart side by side I can't spot the difference even up close. Zebra - Pm'd
  10. Sorry for late reply only just saw this... I was not, and have never used a Kinugawa / Kando turbo, I have my own source outside japan for what seems to be an EXACT copy of the L2's using equal (or better) quality materials. The reason I used so much boost was due to cam timing to maximise response. The L2 from my 4dr was sold when the car was sold, and is still spinning quite hard. Sam.
  11. We've had great success with a supplier of TD06L2-20G copies, after the R32 RB25DET 305 rwkw was retired from active duty early last year, the kit was then sold, and I believe is still performing admirably. We have also seen some reliable results from other people using the OBX T67 on ebay.
  12. Stao's rear tires are not the 'grippiest' and we have been fully booked out... I was just doing him a favour and squeezing in a few runs to see if we could monitor and control boost. If this was a full tune we would have certainly strapped it in, played with with cam timing, etc etc... Ramp of 13kph/s Agreed, I've had many discussions with Stao regarding going beyond what I recommend, and to his credit he's prepared to push the limit, learn along the way, and try new ideas. I would certainly not recommend anyone to push these turbos, or any turbo to their limits, without carefull monitoring and understanding of vitals. Sam.
  13. Package drives so smoothly... Looking forward to doing a 3076 twin scroll on my R32 GTS4 RB25DE+T... Might even try E85 with it Adam - I'd be interested in seeing the difference with / without the insert and gate plumbed back... Let me know when you're ready and we'll work something out
  14. Thanks for letting us look after your R Jim, and good to meet you also. Sam.
  15. Let's just wind it up... a little... if you still have it... Anyone thinking of buying this would be stupid not to, the whole package is superb, and a fine fine example
  16. Buddy club does a cheap simple VTech controller for only $94RRP.. Used with a changover relay they can be easily setup to switch off VCT at deisred rpm, have seen no downsides to having VCT switch on at idle. Buddy Club AU Site
  17. I'd get Nismo AFMs and retain your intakes personally, and keep the standard fuel reg.
  18. Turbo was still going hard, but car has now gone to new home, turbo kit is sold to someone putting it onto an RB20
  19. Interested to see how the vct works on rb20 ecu?
  20. What ECU are they using for that?
  21. I'm really looking forward to this, and to catch up with you guys!
