  2. I've got a bigger brake setup coming and my current one is up for grabs.. It is a complete front and rear setup, which will bolt straight onto pretty much all the main flavours of nissan, currently on an r33 skyline, but will also bolt onto 32/34 and s13/14/15 as long as its a 5x114.3 stud pattern Comes with 4 piston Alcon/grex B type callipers on all 4 corners, fronts are a radial mount calliper with the correct dog bones, rears are a lug mount calliper drilled to suit a nissan mounting.. Front rotors are 332x32 mm in size, and where replaced last year with brand new dixel rotors which are only a few events old, and have machined hats to suit Rear rotors are 315mm with machined hats which also come with an internal handbrake drum as part of the hat so you can retain the factory handbrake Ferodo DS3000 pads all round, replaced one event ago as well as a spare set of DS 11 pads for the front, and a set of jappo pads for the rears How the fronts look, rears are simular in appearance, just a bit smaller. And as sitting inside an 18" rim Chasing $4500 firm for this setup. Located in perth, can ship them east at your expense.. Drop me a PM or ring me on 0411 59 49 48
  3. pretty sure having looked thorough at the tank cap its a vacum pickup to grab fuel out of the LHS side of the tank, so im pegging it must be part of the fuel level sender, i just can't get a hand intp the tank deep enough to trace the wires down to see what they're attached to.. just trying to make sure its only a 5v power signal it needs to the sender or if it might possible need 12v, anyone got a factory 33 manual handy?
  4. Ok bit of a different question for everyone out there well versed in the r33 fuel system.. The fuel tank, the fuel pump sits on the RHS/driver side of the tank with the fuel level sender, theres a secondary loom that runs off the fuel level sender that goes to the left side of the tank and down to the bottom left corner, what its attached to, i can't see or figure out.. is it attached to another level sender, or is there a secondary pump buried down there to transfer fuel over from the left side of the tank to the right, or does the fuel transfer work of a vacum setup using the return line from the motor, looking at the return line setup at the top of the tank this seems likely, i just want to make sure there isn't a fuel pump down there that may need power. anyone who's hacked apart a tank or has a manual with this info, id love to hear from you..
  5. if you have a list of suppliers for bits of these things, can you drop me a message and ill pass them on to the old boy, it might kick start him into doing something but the pics you posted up there to me look like how i imagine the ponti's to look, as you say there from the same breed..
  6. thats a good looking buick, my old boy has a couple of 27 pontiacs, that i imagine when together would look very close to that, wooden roof frame and all, saddly his are rusted piles of ass at the moment he plans on resto'ing one day he's been denying my desire to rod one for many years, so he better do something with them or ill just take one off his hands and do itttt
  7. most aspects have been covered already, but before you go anywhere, have the car thoroughly looked over and serviced, flush the radiator, replace all primary rad and heater hoses, new belts, new fluids in motor, box and diff, checvk all cv joints and boots for wear/splits, check wheel bearings, make sure nothing is comming loose, check all sus components out.. as for shit to take, tools, spare belts and hoses, a bottle of oil and coolant, spare oil filter, a good jack, other than the factory scisor jack, the side of the road and shite jacks do not work well together as also said, next G phone, and get one with a socket to plug an external car antenna into it, or suitable car kit and high gain car antenna, UHF cb, and keep it on channel 40, you get a bit of dribble from truckies, but it comes in handy if your broken down, have an emergency, or in general on the road as truckies tell one another what possible issues there may be, and wide loads are always in communication with one another about traffic comming towards them.. once you get clear of gerro heading towards cananarvon, be aware of goats, theres thousands of the f**king things on the road sides, and as you get further north past canarvon, be careful of cattle on the road, especially early morning or evening as they tend to wander around at these times, same goes for roo's horses camels etc if you can get time, head into karajini national park, mill stream chitchester ranges, witenoom national parks etc, some incredible sights there, coral bay is excellent for snorkling and the ningaloo reef, as is exmouth, saddly coral bay and monkey mia have been fairly commercialised since i was there 15+ years ago, exmouth is nice, but there isn't much to d unless you wanna look at tower zero, karratha is a mining town, but there are some awesome fishing charters that take in the islands, headland has nothing to offer other than cold beer, broome is awesome, and this time of year the weather is nothing short of brilliant.. thats as far as ive been so far up the coast of WA, if you can spare it, DO see the national parks i mentioned, you will not regret it..
  8. Simular issues here in WA too, used to be able to rego a car for tarmac, or gravel, however, as a new scheme was meant to be comming in, and it hasn't one ass clown has taken it apon himself to can any car getting rally rego, unless it will be used on one dirt rally a year.. which is all well and good if your going dirt, but all the tarmac boys cop it in the ring, and given the ARC is basically dead, and even club level dirt rally is in a slump at the moment, most people are going tarmac, understandably because it cheaper and your less likely to total a car so in WA its extremely popular now, so this one ass clwon is helping no one escept the few who are going dirt.. if and when the new scheme comes in it will be a lot easier for all concerned and get rid of the issue of cars kicking around on b-reg as daily drivers, and there are a lot of s6 sx7's like that...
  9. Bit late into this debate, however The two classes of racing we're discussing here, are worlds apart... GRP A as pointed out, was pretty much a no holds barred class, with the exception of you had to be abkle to buy a car off the the showroom floor with the same kit, a la the v spec, which was effectively an evolution model of the factory gt-r, think back to the days of group b rally homologation where a specific number of cars had to be produced so it could comply, HOWEVER, you could have an evolution model, which there only had to be a few sold, not the required 400, so in effect you could have a cheaper less mental version of the car you where running to make up homogation numbers, and your evolution with all the good fruit.. essentially this happened with the gt-r and the vpsecs/n1 varients etc, as problems where found, they improved on them, there was a number of bits in the gt-r tho that didn't come in a factory goer, like suspension arms, the dog boxes, extra oil coolers etc, but for the main part of it, you could buy a car with pretty much the same motor combo in it, it was just highly detuned.. v8 supercars as we know it today, is an extremely controlled class, to the point now they all run the same motor parts, intakes, ecu's, diff ratios, tyre sizes, and as of next year even the same brake callipers and rotor/pads sizes, all that really is different on them is the external body panels and the badge on the front... if the V8 SC series was allowed to run rules like the grp a days, then you'd find they where a lot faster due to the bigger wheels, more power, less fuel retrictions etc.. comparing them to a gt-r today is a bit of a fickle point, 17 years of development would see the gt-r totally smash to pieces a front running V8 SC, to the point im willing to peg if you invested the same amount of money into a gt-r as they where in grp a days, you'd see it go very close, or even possibly under the 2 min mark at bathurst.. however, if you relaxed the rules on a v8sc, and got more power, but more importantly more grip and handling, you'd see it right up the arse of the gt-r... one final thing however, for response, no turbo car will EVER beat a highly tuned well developed NA motor for outright response..
  10. if you do all the work yourself, and you have a 32 r cut, going into a 32 gts-t body it shoudl all be a very straight forward swap over, motor and box will slot straight in, you'll want to get the rear cradle so you get the matching diff's to suit the box as they may be different to the gts4, and the looms should plug into one another, there might be some wiring differences but they would be pretty minor... just a matter of the intercooler then and zaust, and away you go.. cost wise tho id almost be cheaper to just get the R, but if you spin the spanners yourself, you would come out on top doing the convo to the gts4
  11. car 39 here not sure how we'll fare, we're budget racers this year, the big buck boys like you snowy might be way ahead of us

    F*ck Me...

In instances like this when you get pulled yp, and you KNOW they have no form of speed reading, deny everything, and demand proof if they want to try something on.. just because you over took someone on a 3 lane road does not make you a hoon. they need to proove without a doubt that you where doing something wrong..
  14. marcsta's are a bit of a crock, as they call it a worksite induction.. however, and this is why its a load of shit, EVERY mine site, and pretty much every half decent construction site, will do an induction of there own, marcsta is nothing but someone ripping you off needlessly... don't bother with it, i haven't
  15. go the medium single you big gir, and stick the fat barge on a diet of no sound deadeneing, no air con or any air boxes for that matter, and a roll cage, go on, you know you wanna
  16. Yup, bundy the roo he was rescued im guessing, but people kept giving him apples so hes hung around, hes a violent little bastard, if you don't give him anything, he wants to punch on, ive started teasing him out of fun tho theres also a bungarra that seems to be living under the mess, saw him yesterday digging in the garden plus the cows that come into the camp to chew on the grass at night from the farm surrounding the site theres a bit of wildlife around you worked there im guessing, or passed through?
  17. for a decent cage thats CAMS happy for racing, your looking at 3k+ from most people, i recommend LF performance, maitland, and if you want really top shelf mark bourne, but expect to fork out big bucks.. do forget driving it on the road and A class rego tho, it won't happen, rally reg only for you
  18. it did, still traded as speedworks tho the shop has been shut AFAIK, one of the mechanics was going to run stuff from his home garage, but don't wuote me on it as im not 100% on that..
  19. whim creek its nearly the middle of no where, its 100ish km north of karratha, and 100ish south of headland, and 70km north of roe burn.. it gets boring being there for two weeks non stop as theres SFA to do, theres a pub, and a gym, thats all

    Ecu

can get brand new gt-r 32/33 power fc's for bout a grand from greenline, and the guys down at x-speed would be able to get it working on your 20, they can make them work on 25's and the 25/20 ecu's are pretty much identical in wiring so it shouldn't be a hassle..
  21. I think its a defi dash, or, something like a HKS dash..
  22. greenline FTW even if they don't have it listed online, it won't hurt to email and ask, chances he could source it for you other good thing with greenline, even if its not in stock, or its going to be delayed, he will tell you up front at pricing time, so you know when it should be turning up, and usually its within half the time he tells you
  23. 99% of mining companies are desperate for fitters, send your resume to a stack of them via the HR depts, and something will come up, provided your not just a 1st yr tho and have some experience
  24. more information too, what exactly did they say no to and why
