  1. That's where its cheaper for the 1J, bottom end is bullet proof unlike the Rb25 over @ 300RwKw, 1J injectors good for @250 RwKw - Rb25 runout by 200Rwkw, the manual toyota box is a bit how ya going shift wise (R154) but plenty around behind 2J cars so definately strong enough. Dump pipes for the factory twins are a challenge, but I made 2 x 2.5" ones for my Cressida and got them to fit around the steering, so it is all doable. 1J for the win, they are a great motor.
  2. If you ring them you can buy single sheets from their dealers and they are cheaper than ACL, I actually know because I have actually bought some (unlike yourself it seems) which is why I suggested it!!!
  3. http://www.dci.com.au/ Ring these guys for a dealer to buy from, they are OE suppliers to Holden for heatshield etc and are cheaper than ACL (who coincidently have gone bust according to media today!) Tim
  4. Zoom Magazine did this years ago with a HKS 2535 turdbo on RB20, in the end they went back to the standard RB20 plenum. I would spend my money elsewhere.
  5. Have 3 x RB20DET (R32GTSt) Coilpacks, used, $30 the lot + Post or pick up Hills area Sydney. The Ol Ebay Stainless Low Mount manifold, never fitted $100 + Post or pick up. PM or call 0422 782 291 Tim
  6. Apexi SAFC Neo - used but in excellent condition, includes both manuals, basically everything in the photos. Over $500 New - Sell $400-00 Ono Going full management so not needed. Pick up Hills Area Sydney or Express Post included. PM or phone 0422 782 291 Tim
  7. Should have REVS (Register of Encumbered Vehicles) checked it bud. If he has signed a document stating he will give your money back I would seek legal advice and have a solicitor write a letter of demand for your money back, may not be enforceable if he denies signing it, but a legal letter will soon let you see if he is a proper shonk or not. If he tells you to piss off then he has probably done it before and knows just as much about the law and how to get away with this type of rip off than your solicitor. Also, not a good idea to say on a public forum that a police officer has given you this guys current address, they can get in serious trouble for doing you a favour like that. Good luck with it.
  8. The old world Geisha district in Kyoto was fantastic as was Himeji castle, what a view from the top (not made for over 6 foot Aussies though, so mind your head!) I will have to go to Hiroshima next time as well, worth a look or not? what about the West coast of Japan, you don't hear much about it.
  9. If you want to ultimately go the fastest round a race track 18" will be the way to go, admittedly it looks a bit wierd (well quite a bit weird) but the tyre technology in 18" race type tyres is way ahead of 19" or 20" ones currently. That is going to change in the next couple of years though as more 19/20" technology catches up (as well as the demand for them). Given how fast Haltech and others have gone on 20" road tyres you would need to be a gun driver to get the most out of an 18" wheel/slick tyre upgrade in any case.
  10. Hey Richard, great write up and photos. I actually went to Japan last October with the family and after reading this had to have a Mos burger (not at Shinjuku tho) while there just to say I've tasted one. I loved Japan and the people, my son is going back on exchange later this year, I may have to go again after the memories came flooding back. Thanks for inspiring me and others to go. Tim
  11. As above, need R33 Gtst front calipers, cash sale, I can pick up and I would prefer a Sydney seller. Gimme a call 0422 782 291 Tim SORTED NOW, Thanks for all the responses.
