  1. Got to agree with Jamezilla, you'll only do it once on a mountain bike!! I did it for the first time last year. I come from a running not riding background, did a couple of rides (frankston and back) before the race thinking I'll be sweet. It was a killa!!! Took me close to 12 hours...but i did it!!! It is one hell of a ride, although was a great feeling watching the sun came down as I rode over the westgate. Wouldn't want to hold you guys up so i'll stay outie...

  5. Dude, I feel your pain...although two weeks is nothing in the IT industry! I've been looking at the moment coming onto two months, I've had two interview processes up onto the third interview on each which are still currently going... I have, Bachelor of Computer Science Masters of Science in Network Systems CCNA and half CCNP Network support and web design experience, and man it is irratating, build up skills, technically, is easy to get, everyone has them!, but prove you're someone different. I find I go best when I be my outgoing self in the interview, show that you have great communication and interpersonal skills, are willing to learn, and have the ability to sell water to a well! But keep at it man, partition your hardrive and put linux on one partition if you really want to learn linux (although really not knowing linux isn't the main problem). It's one hell of a long process, bust rest assured you're not the only one going through it. Oh yeah...it is who you know, but remember you don't have to know them well to ring them...use people's connections to your hearts content, it's dog eat dog

Ahhh...but if the car has the balls, then the rice is ok...
  10. You're in one of the best areas in Melbourne for food, alot of great cafes along chapel, and some excellent restaurants along Toorak road stretching from Chapel up to Punt road in all price ranges from the favourite vic skyline place of BBNT near South Yara station to the exceptional french restaurant France Soir (some of the best french food I've ever eaten, and I've been to France) on Toorak road closer to Punt Rd. Your culinary needs will be well catered for in the area you're staying! As doxx said you can always get a tram to the Grand Prix, they will be packed so little hope of any tickets being checked....but I guess the inspectors will be out in force over the weekend. Hope you enjoy Melbourne! Paul

  17. As opposed to wasting Taxpayers money, the TAC is very good in providing up and coming directors the chance to produce their own commercials. I know often in the past TAC ads have been sought through giving younger film directors the chance to put together an ad, then submit it, then the best of a bunch gets given the funds to properly produce. (something like this). As an avid supporter of aus films and establishing a base for australian talent, I'm down with it, if I was fortunate to own such a beast I would gladly provide it, and good on you TAC for doing what alot of other Australian organisations should do! my 2 cents
  18. I thought you could get chrome, or something close to chrome?? I got some paint the other day and re-sprayed the mesh at the front of my car. That was in Auto-B in Chadstone... and there was chrome there, it looks really weird, like you're spraypainting a mirror...
