  1. not with the 'guaranteed to not seal' part. thats a poor call. and if someone had a problem once with boring a throttle body, then the issue should be brought up with the machine shop, not solved by pissing on the idea in general for generations to come also, throttle blade/bore dia is not dictated by some simple 6 45mm is X times bigger than some Z sized single. that argument is rubbish. you need to look at your port velocities and harmonics, which are a function of bore/stroke, cam timing and intake length. someone may very well need a 48mm throttle in their particular setup. but im not here to tell someone how to build an engine. OP asked if/how you can bore the throttles. above pics demonstrate how. cheers ed
  2. really? wow, i didnt know my engine had such problems!?! thanks for the heads up, ill go remove them now
  3. i got EFI hardware to do the new throttle blades, but i had the bores milled and finished locally in syd. cost SFA altogether. can recommend EFI hardware to do this. on the rb26 body you wont get over 48mm. maybe 48.5mm, but that would REALLY be pushing it. 48 is clearly doable though
  4. thread revival i had mine bored to 48mm, had the shafts machined down (not quite shaftless but close), and new throttle plates installed. cost about AU$350 in total email [email protected] if you still want info. have pics of what we did, and contacts if sill required cheers ed

  7. Selling my daily due to moving OS in march Shes basically a Stocky McStock R33 GTST Skyline. white 1995/96 Series 1.manual, PS, Driver Airbag, no ABS, HICAS rear wheel steer functioning/intact. I was told it had a chipped ecu but i really couldnt say myself. Pulls well, smooth, no smoke, no noises, zero mechanical concerns. Basically unmodifed stock setp. Full set of original skyline mats, seats in excellent condition, basicd CD/MP3 player etc. Catback 3" Kakimoto stainless exhaust. Blitz blowoff valve (not loud), strut brace, stock m-spec side skirts. Never gone over stock boost (6psi odd), always run on 98ron, Stock wheels, 80% good rubber all around. Straight, clean and tidy. a few shopping trolley marks as you do with a daily driver, but basically neat/clean/straight/honest/unmodified.... she's been a solid, dependable daily for the past 2 1/2 years, maintained by me, new AC 2 months ago, new clutch (extreme HD) 3 months ago. new brake pads about 6 months ago, plugs also about 6 months ago. dash odo has been broken since time of original purchase @ 75,000km. I'd say ive put 40,000-50,000km on it since owning it, and would ballpark 150,000km in total. ive got an excellent condition entire cluster to put in, but just havent gotten around to putting it in. actually i have a series 2 steering wheel in excellent condition to go in at the same time too, but similarly just havent got around to installing it anyway, ill fess-up to having a low speed front-ender about 12 months ago, which munted the front bar, cracked both headlights and kinked the bonnet. this was all replaced with parts off a nose cut from a series 2. there were zero alignment issues with the repair, all the damage was basically cosmetic and was simply replaced. that said, the new series 2 bar has not been colour-matched. its close, but not quite, but yeah, its my daily, not a show car, so i decided not to stress about getting it sprayed. see pics below, plus theres a short vid i made for youtube showing the engine running so you have a listen... pics: anyways, asking price $8500 ono after a quick sale, happy to field questions, test drive welcome located in parramatta CBD 0409603238 [email protected] cheers ed
  8. inbox replied wheels sold tyres available!! $100 come pick them up cheers ed 0409603238
  9. Rays / Volk F-Zero Challenge forged wheels 18x8" +32 front 18x9" +36 rear included RAYS centrecaps as pictured, and alloy, annodised racing valve stems the same model rims as the original Rod Millen Motorsports supra, one of the first 'big numbers' modified jza80s way back when... (cant find a pic now, dammit) now several years old, but well looked after. i'd score them an 8/10 for condition. sure theres the occ bit of gutter scuffing, and a few light scratches and blemishes etc, but theyre used, and thats kinda what happens to wheels eh?! nothing particularly bad, nor out of the ordinary. and considering ive had them for about 3-4years, of which a minimum of 2 of those has been spent parked in a workshop... well, you get the idea, theyre about 8/10 and look pretty good they clear MY big brakes, and given the size/style/offset they *should* clear most other big brakes setups, but youd need to check. im happy to trial fit them to your car if you want to come check them out. this is what they look like on a completely stock supra, gives you an idea of offsets (when i first got them): and this is what they looked like a month or so ago (now not enough offset to suit the flared arches): ive also got a pair of 235/40 tyres (nankang) with a good 50% (these were on the front) available to go with these wheels. no rear tyres unfortunately as they were basically new, and i moved them onto the new rims. so, theyre available now. packed into boxes, ready to ship. I can arrange shipping through a work courier, so probably looking at around $100 anywhere in aust. maybe a bit cheaper if your in melb or bris. Im only really happy to post the wheels, not the tyres. if you want wheels AND tyres youll have to come pick them up (Blacktown/Western Sydney). I will only sell the tyres separately once the wheels have gone. PRICE: $1300 ono + shipping (pickup blacktown/western syd) thats for wheels and tyres... come and get them! i want them gone within the next 3 weeks. cheers ed [email protected] 0409603238
