  5. Hey guys. Sorry bout the time taken to reply. I have great news, the beast is ALIVE. Thankgod. I just did exactly what you said Randy and I am so thankful for your help. I thought it may have been really serious at first so its great it wasnt. Alex
  6. Thanks Randy that sounds good and hopefully when I try it tomorrow it all comes us trumps
  7. Ok I will try that. I just googled it and I think I know how to do it. I will let you know how it goes. Thanks
  8. Hey craved, thanks for the advice but I just did that and it still wouldnt go past 2500. I have double checked all the wires that had been tampered with and am sure that they would have nothing to do with the problem as when they removed the boost and oil temp guage they just cut them clean also. Using my basic logic I only think that it would have something to do with the SAFC being removed. You got any more possible solutions? I have sum mates that are mechanics, and I was thinking maybe I could get them to plug in the diagnostic computer thingy to see if anything shows up as having a problem. Any thoughts?
  9. When I had the SAFC2 installed I was still using the standard AFM. Everything was running really well up untill the car got broken into and it got stolen, so I dont realy think it could be the AFM The idiots did just cut it and all I have done is leave it still hooked up to the ECU and just wrapped it into a circle and cable tied it off. If there is a posibility it is shorting, what can I do about trying to fix it.
  10. It's me here again guys. I have managed to get everything looking reasonable now and after charging up my battery I just went to start the car and guess what....more problems. The car started and for a while I just wanted to let it run on idle. Then when i decided to rev the car in neutral it would go past 2500rpm. This got me really worried. I am guessing that it would be related to the fact my Apexi AFC2 got stolen? Anyone think this is right? What should I do with it now? Thanks, Alex
  11. Thanks for the reply's guys. Yeh the f@#kers stole two blitz boost and oil gauge's as well as the pod holder and my apexi afc. Surpisingly they didnt take my boost controller. They definately did a good job. Anyways I am over it now cause there is no point thinking too much about the past. I think I will just visit the wreckers and get a new piece for the window sill. Just more hassle's I dont need. Thanks again
  12. Hey everyone. A couple of weeks ago some wankers broke into my car and its taken we a while to get around getting the replacements for my LH passenger and rear windows. Once starting the installation though, I noticed that the plastic lining at the top of the window sill has also been damaged, with a rock I think. I have posted sum pictures and hope someone can tell me how to fix it. Should I just get the parts and replace it? Thanks in advance guys, Alex
  13. Hey guys, I just found the next and there are shit loads of them. The nest is inside the passenger door. They seemed to have gotten in through the drainage holes at the bottom on the door and i am about to go jihad on their asses. Thanks for the help
  14. Just normal car wash. I cant tell you now cause its at home. Yeh i think they came up on the tires and then on the suspension. My real worry is, do you think some sort of surface spray will damage my paint, especially cause its white and i dont want residue or shit on it. I dont thik they are nesting in my car. At least i hope not.
  15. Hey everyone. I didnt really know where to put this i just decided to stick it here. I seem to be having a little ant trouble with my car. They are all over the body of it and my guess is that they are walking up one of the wheels and the climbing up some how. I washed the car yesterday in the hope i would kill them all and then parked it in a different spot and they still seem to be hanging around. Has anyone had a problem like this before? Anyone know what i might be able to do? I just dont want to mess up my paint. Al
  16. No pobs guys. I will let you know how it all goes Thanks Alex
  17. Well i got it checked out today and it is definately an exhaust manifold gasket that has gone. The interesting thing i heard is that when they take the manifold off the head i got told that it is very easy for the bolts to snap. Is this really the case? I was quite dumbfounded when i heard. That just means i might be up for more money in the end. I also went to nissan to sus the parts out and thankfully they have them in stock so thats not too much of an issue Alex
  18. Cheers for the help boys Ima sus it out on the weekend Alex
  19. Hey guys, just a quick question. I was at work the other day, started the car and it sounded incredibly loud for sum reason. I thought it was just echoeing off the cars next to me but then i realised it wasnt. It amlmost sounds like there's no cat or sumthin, but when i pop the hood there a really loud exhaust sound being heard. My mates have suggested that maybe the exhaust gasket to the dump pipe is gone or that a manifold gasket has gone. Anyone got ideas? Has anyone experienced this issue? Thanks for any help Alex
  20. Thanks heaps guys. The help and info is much appreciated. Alex
  21. Hey guys, my best mate has just sold off the CA18DET he had in his 180sx and has just bought himself an RB25 engine and gearbox. I just wondering whether anyone on here had completed one of these conversions and how hard it was? Are there any major problems with mounting the engine? Do custom engine mounts need to be made? Are there any problems with the position of the sump? Any help would be much appreciated Alex
  22. Mate, has anyone told you your a legend? Sounds like i am all set. I have been looking around for a while so its about time i think. So do we just order when we are ready? I gotta organise the funds, but is it as simple as a money transfer to the account? Alex
  23. The car is mainly going to get driven on the street apart from some skidpan/driftday exercises, so i guess i still want to be able to drive the thing. So from what i understand, what i need, apart from the spings and shocks, will be the 24mm stabiliser bar (front and rear), the castor set, the camber set and the subframe alignment (these are pineapples right). Yeah? Just a final question...will you be able to tell us where on the gold coast or brissie i could go to get it installed, and what sort of price i would be looking at. A guestimate would be much appreciated. Thanks for all the help, Alex
