Had that final ride on Saturday.... was awesome. Considering it hasnt been ridden since 3/1/06 I couldnt believe how great the response was, felt like it was last ridden the day before..... admittedly I did throw in a bottle of $8 octane booster to help out the old fuel in the tank. Decided not to advertise it, going to throw it on consignment to the local bike shop.... they'll charge me $550 for the sale, so we'll put it in for 12k obo. So, Ive got to make a list of all the spares I have, find and photocopy all the receipts I have, and take it all down to the local shop. Oh well, Ive enjoyed it whilst its lasted. Damn knees.

But thats impossible, in the basic sense, it just 'aint workable. (edit: although I hasten to add, that with the right set of laws, properly debated and thought out, could be effective) ie, how about when granny turns off the 80kmph road onto a 40kmph sideroad, and she pulls off at 5kmph - whilst this may be 'dangerous' (ie her lack of speed on the 80kmph main road), for granny it may be scary and hense deemed dangerous to drive around a corner at the minimum speed limit (whatever that may be, say 20kmph) - barring that, granny might be a completely safe and good driver.

nah not braggin at all mate - fact is the Stagea's are awesome cars. I reckon I'll never have a problem with authorities and mine. If I had 40k spare for a second car (less sale of current 10k 2nd car) Id grab our second Stagea in a flash (RS260 Autech of course)............. use the auto RS4 for weekday useage and the RS260 for weekends. as it is, my RS4 has 160awkw at the moment, fully sorted, and Im very happy with that, what an awesome car, but it'll have 200awkw hopefully within the next year (putting my last 4k onto it for brakes & turbo&tune & autowork, and that'll be the end of the mods). mate - would love to see your RS260 sometime.

Thats a DAYZ and an absolute bargain at 12k........ if I was looking right now for a Stagea, Id buy that one. (on the premise that Ive got 25to30k to have it 'streetable')

throw ca$h into the kitty and set that Series2 baby free! ie, buy for 12k, rebuild engine for 8, other mods for 12 (suspn, brakes, hiflow turb & tuning, exhaust, strenghten-auto, etc).... and for 30k you could have a monster.

auto or manual? and I assume a series 1 1997 model probably auto - therefore get a Apexi SAFC-II, only a piggyback ecu can work with the auto. what sort of power is he chasing, and what is the budget? toooooo many options otherwise, without that info.

No you are not ranting; Ive had some unbelievable f**kers do exactly that to me, at Colonel Light Gardens at the repat hospital intersection, the one 20m back from Daws rd.......... friday night cruise, bunch of yobs clowing in a beat up vc commowhore, Im on my ZX7R just having a relaxing cruise home after a hard weeks work....... had them clambered up my arse and I couldnt brake for the yellow/red light (camera intersection back then), i was trying to brake but they were 'right there' like no kidding a metre behind my bike, traffic spead, ended up going thru red and they stopped at the lights with a massive lockup, smoke everywhere. the bastards tried to kill me - no other explanation. since then I swore to never ride on metro roads again - and I didnt, unless to & from tunes, kept strictly to the hills.............................. outa the way, free....................... god Im going to miss riding when the Fireblade goes.

Chris is as honest as the day is long......... Im sure he is bending over backwards to help everybody out, as best as he can. At the end of the day, all he can do is give his best effort (for no finacial reward at this stage you might note). Remember - not everyone can be completely satisfied, thats just the way it is.
