  1. Hi fellas. I'm hoping someone can help me with a small issue.. Was driving old man's car last night, and it died on me. No RACV cover on it, so pushed it around a back street and left it there overnight (caught a taxi home) til I could decide what to do. Came back in the evening next day after work, and there's a big yellow sticker talking about 'ABANDONED/UNREGISTERED VEHICLE', and the numberplates have been removed by the police. What can I do? If I go to the cop station to pick up the plates, they're going to ask how the car got there. I didn't realise I was driving an unregistered car. Can I just make something up, ie - car was stolen, or something similar. I know it's not nice to ask you guys how to bend the law.. but what can I say - I loathe cops. In retrospect, it seems I should have taken the plates home with me in the taxi. Thanks guys. =(
  2. Hi gents, Have my previous motor sitting at home wrapped in plastic - a non-turbo RB25DE - before I upgraded to a turbo engine. It's done about 95,000kms, and has been sitting in my driveway for about 6 months. Not sure if anyone would be interested in it, but if so, let me know. I'm probably expecting something in between $500 and $1000; I really don't know what it's worth. Thanks guys.
  3. Hi there, Someone who works at a place that could sell them, and make a reasonable profit - whether it was a performance / parts / racing shop or even a newsagent, etc. In theory, you only have to sell 8 at RRP to make it worthwhile. What do you with the rest is really up to your imagination!
  4. ASM mags to clear! Leftover current magazines to clear from Melbourne Auto Salon. Retail is $7.50 a piece. Currently have 13 boxes left on offer. 35 mags to a box, retail is $262.50 a box, selling cheap for $50 per box... that equates to roughly $1.50 a mag! Current issue with green lancer on cover, these have to go guys and have been selling fast, so be quick! thanks.
  5. sorry to hijack your thread mate, but i want one too! can anyone get hold of these for us?!
  6. hi gents, as stated; can anyone get hold of these 2 pieces of metal for me? upper and lower control arms for an R33 (driver side). condition isnt a problem as long as they're STRAIGHT! ta simon.
  7. hi gents, can anyone tell me if the auto gearbox in an R33 GTS is the same as in a GTS-t? the gears in my GTS-t are slipping very badly and i can get hold of a spare gearbox from a GTS - thought it might be worth swapping them over(?) ta guys, simon.
  8. for an R33. 2nd hand is fine if it's still in relatively good nick. I think this one has a green element - may be different from other HKS filters. ..adaptor as well if you have one! thanks gents
  9. hello gents, someone pried the GT badges off both sides of my R33 the other day/night so i'm looking for a pair to replace 'em. don't suppose anyone has any spares they'd sell me? i found another thread saying that justjap can source them.. but i thought i'd ask here first..! thanks guys, simon/sky000
  10. Please add one more. If you can get it in blue, it'd match my wheels. =)
  11. Hi gents, I'm after a pair of rear pods that look like the attached image. I think they may be moulded from some Veilside model(?). Carmate (where I got the picture from) actually doesn't supply them so I was wondering if anyone either has a pair (doubtful) or can at least tell me where I might be able to look? Thanks guys, Simon.
  12. hey dude! do you drive along barkers rd (victoria street) on the way to work in the mornings? i recognised the colour, spoiler, 'tuned by dr drift' sticker & the black no. plate. maybe it was someone else tho. but if so, we cruised together for a bit . man, i hate it when someone breaks up the skyline one-two! -simon
  13. hey guys, i hate to drag this thread up.. was just doing a search and this looked like a likely thread. bought some p-plates the other day to replace my current ones (which faded to sh1t). anyway the back one fell off (it wouldnt stick). girlfriend noticed it and i looked in the back of the car - and it had disappeared.. so i said faak it, i have a spare plate at home, i'll whack it on then. just my luck - pulled over on the way home.. and there goes 3 points. my real question is: i only have 3 points left. does that put me in a "0 point" club (ie: behave), or does it mean prepare for tough anal? i'm rooted either way, as im fairly sure i have another point coming which was "held back" because of the western ring road camera testing. to top it off i pay $160 a month for udnerground carparking in richmond. so can someone tell me if i'll be catching public transport to work for a while? simon
  14. hi gents! i currently have an amp in my booty which is powering 2x 12" phoenix gold subs. they're not top of the range or anything - but, the amp is rewted badly and i need a replacement. it just came with the subs when i bought them off a mate and i'm guessing it's pretty sh1t anyway. i was wondering if anyone can tell me what would actually be good to power these subs. there's heaps of information to read on powering 1 sub with an amp, but i've not come across anyone powering 2 subs with 1 amp. i have the rest of the system running off another (smaller) amp so i don't need to worry about that..! do i just want a 2 channel amp? or a bridged 4 channel amp (is there even any point in that?!) i'm not even sure what power rating i need. some of them say "1000 watt high powered..." and are cheaper than something that says 250w. so i'm just a bit confused  i somehow found some stats on it in case they are important: Subwoofer Specifications Size: 12 inch Rec. Sealed Box Dims: 0.60 - 1.20 cu.ft. Rec. Ported Box Dims: 2.00 - 2.60 cu.ft. Free Air Usage: not recommended Sensitivity: 90 dB Frequency Response: n/a Recommended RMS Power: 300W Peak Power Handling: 600W Impedance: 4 ohms thanks for reading this far.. simon
