Aparrently there was a landslide that pushed rocks onto the tracks which the train hit and the first carriage derailed slightly as you said. They moved everyone to the last four carriages and then disconnected those carriages from the front. The rear carriges went to hornsby where apparently there were buses waiting. No more trains could get through obviously.

This doesn't apply, as Holden sources these cars from other GM brands, it doesn't desgin and build them itself like Nissan Japan did with the Skyline. Holden decided to switch from the European "Opel Corsa", to the cheaper Korean "Daewoo Kalos", while keeping the Barina name. Nissan obviously didn't do this. Maybe, but it doesn't relate to this argument though does it? So its not relevant.
