  1. GTS32, that does sound like a good day you've got planned. Im fully keen, however, the work i do doesnt give me much notice about when i am, and am not available. When is your cut off date for knowing if i can or cant go? Cheers
  2. Hi all, Just to let u guys know that i did some experimentation with where to connect the vacuum line from the top of the blow off valve to the intake manifold etc. I have read in some instruciton forums etc that connecting the vacuum line to the throttle body will provide vacuum when the throttle is closed.... i did not have any success with this , as the valve would only activate when i eased off the throttle slowly, not when i took my foot straight off. I have since split the line running to the wastegate, and connected the blow off valve through there (not sure if mine is a standard vacuum hose adaptor, however it is located to the bottom right of the throttle body on the manifold, if u were looking the same way as the flow path). It seems to work fine, with no boost spikes or anything from the wastegate sharing its vacuum source. Any comments, would be appreciated... aka, have i just created a time bomb :OP
  3. Where can you get that stuff mate? There is no risk of stuffing up the lens is there?

  6. Hey guys, I've never been to one of these days before being brand new to the club. Ill try come along to the day to meet some of u people and get some bbq down the hatch ) but yeah, i look forward to fun day with the best thing in life: cars sreaming their guts out!
  7. I have heard about them before and had good reports. Im going to give Mercury Motorsport a go next week as they are about 1k from my house and they support SAU members with a 10% discount and have had MoTeC experience, but time will tell. They quoted me $140/hr on the dyno, before discount. Ill let u know how it goes. Lets keep the thread going!!!!
  8. A motec tuning specialist in stafford was very good, and was also good in the 'honesty/communicating what he has done to the car' department. However, i did find him expensive and there was an issue when i went to collect the car of the verbally quoted price being 4 times less than the figue on the invoice. And i dont know about you, but that really #$%@s me off. However, that is something i feel i could speak to him about next time i brought the car there, and so i would recommend him to others. I agree with the people who have advised shopping around, even though its a pain. Anybody know of other shops who have experience on MoTeC systems?
